Looks like Panmure have filled a couple of orders this week, Ed. Re-rate may have a little further to run ahead of results and future news / deal flow.

My take fwiw to go with another vendor would not only be high risk, it would be prohibitively expensive. Frankly, the UK PO can afford neither.

if they win, it surely has to be transformational?

Understand Escher work with Big 4 implementation partners for the change/process reengineering piece and typically IBM for hardware and network infrastructure, Ed. Their core P2P messaging tech is incredibly robust and now has the modular structure to enable the addn of TrEx and mCommerce services.

Given that Oracle, NEC, SAP et al have struggled to compete with Escher on a string of recent tenders, one wonders how much longer before the phone rings in Dublin with an offer that can't be refused(?) And it looks to me that Escher will need the support of a major to realise the full potential of its technology in these new mCommerce and G2C markets. Worth pondering alongside 1) PG's assessment that ESCH is some 25% below peer group valuations and 2) the Co. founders' v considerable interest/holdings.

Only a matter of time IMHO.

Looks that way, Ed. The market's been caught napping on this one (with PG seemingly admitting as much after the recent Escher Tech Teach-in), but Escher Exec are masters of understatement - as canny as they are modest. But no question they are now cranking up the volume which is notable for such a measured/cautious bunch. I think we're in for something of a transformational next FY with Interactive Services and TrEx leading the charge. Understand there are a number of proposals and tenders in the pipe. Exciting times.

"WE'VE GOT SOMETHING TO SHOW YOU!"

Still flying under the radar, but for how much longer? At this price Escher has to be a prime acquisition target. I'd have thought SAP, Oracle some such would be interested in the patented P2P messaging tech underpinning this new solution.

#ConnectedCity at #MWC14

Escher Group in very good company!

At Mobile World Congress 2014, the GSMA's Digital Commerce Programme will be represented within the Connected City rather than on a standalone GSMA Pavilion as in previous years. In conjunction with some of our partners, the programme will demonstrate, within key vertical areas, how digital commerce can contribute to the 'Journey through a Connected Life'. We will be demonstrating a range of NFC-based digital commerce solutions, highlighting applications in payment, retail, transport, mobile identity and access.Partners demonstrating solutions include demos from:AIMIA, DEUTSCHE TELEKOM, ESCHER GROUP, GEMALTO, GSMA, THE LOGIC GROUP, PROXAMA and VERIFONE:

Interoperable Coupon and Loyalty Solutions
This multi-partner demo is a proof of concept showcase related to NFC SIM-based couponing & loyalty which arose from a need to build and demonstrate SIM-based acquisition, activation and card emulation as well as NFC redemption of couponing and loyalty balance services. The 8 companies collaborating on this project have combined to produce this demo detailing a mobile couponing and loyalty customer journey.

The demo will highlight how coupons from multiple sources can be redeemed at a merchant. The demo showcases:

- The interoperability of vendors, digital coupons and multi-applications
- Value Added Services working with an NFC Card Emulation
- How it can help to improve security and reduce fraud
- Redemption, validation and settlement of coupons can all be digital and simplified; helps keep overall costs down
- How digital coupons from multiple sources (brands, loyalty, retailers, MNOs) can be used together all at once with a single merchant
- How various applications can supply their coupons to the SIM to communicate with - Pin Entry Device and merchant IT systems
- How an operator wallet application, can work with and alongside merchant applications and provide a complete view of all the coupons, loyalty presented on a handset.
- How various vendors within the ecosystem can work easily in an interoperable way if there is a standard specification to follow.

Interesting to see what's happened to Proxama's share price this week!

Now ~£54m MCAP for a company delivering less than £1m annual revenues that's providing technology slap bang in the middle of Escher's pitch. Promises to be an exciting next week for them both at #MWC14 Barcelona.

I too think Escher may be about to deliver "more than the technology we expect from them", possibly in mobile contactless payment and loyalty ;o) Proxama a partner...?

Stock being shunted about in 2,500 and 1,000 blocks. Could be an order being filled and that broker-to-broker trade a moment ago a shade under the offer £2.75, confirms there's very little about...
