US contract ! well one announced and one announced as lost, seems to me like status quo, as for india i read that as they have sent free equipment out to try to get them to use it and get results that they can use. The science might be fine but there are lots of science out there and it is about commercial application, they have been at this for years, promising jam tomorrow, blowing millions of pounds, picking up ludicrous salaries. The world moves on and time has found out the CEO who just kept on saying next year/tomorrow well at least someone in the company has read the story of the emperors new clothes !!! how long before the market realises that £20m market cap for this cash hungry,loss making business is as daft as it was when it was a £60M plus market cap.

And yet the US contract is good news and India seems to be going in the right direction...
The worst of it is that it has been very badly handled and must have been leaked prior to the official announcement - hence the preceding slide in the share price

Is it time to get paranoid yet? I'd rather that than write off the science

That is a very good interview from proactive, definitely worth listening to. Talks of dominating the market, derisking, China, other divisions etc. worth a listen.

Matthew Walls, chief executive of Epistem (Lon:EHP), says distribution of its handheld TB diagnostic device in India paves the way for other distributor-based deals globally. Walls tells Proactive Investors the test market for TB will be worth US$2bln by 2020, and the biotechnology company’s signature Genedrive tool lends itself to testing all bacterial, viral, fungal and somatic mutations of the body.
Described as 'breakthrough next generation technology' Genedrive is gathering more commercial exposure and Walls says more funds may be required over the next few months to accelerate the device’s push into the global marketplace.

As I said before, I am genuinely pleased for EHP. However the news appears to have been priced in. I will watch how the story unfolds, the Indian market may not bee that easy to crack, EHP already have competitors providing exactly the same assay for Tb in India. Still todays news is a crucial step forward.
