Qatari petro-dollars figure too in the other big story this week (the rumoured bid for Sainsbury's by a Qatari group):

Delta Two has also promised to use Qatar's top level oil and gas supply contacts to aid overseas growth. One person involved in the process responded that international expansion normally fails for cultural reasons rather than a lack of introductions, while Sainsbury may be big enough to arrange its own introductions anyway. "Underneath the spin, it's still a leveraged bid and we need more details" he said.
