20/6/2007 09:23 | env Systems = envs? They also seem to have the same1st qaurter results indicating they are the same co? dumfounnded but as I said chart and spread on envs was obviously more appealing | debbiegee
20/6/2007 09:22 | - as per prior post, dg - American listing is ENA. So I'm still unsure what the S in ENVS is for ;o) | m.t.glass
20/6/2007 09:21 | Those motors take 90 or 120kW out of the battery on max demand. They cannot be 100% efficient so must get pretty hot. That could be a heat source for a cab heater in cold weather. | david77
20/6/2007 09:05 | I noticed envs had a great set of results but unfortunatelly marred by currency rates so I would assume they deal the US.clients.A good growing British client for them is super news and if they can keep TAN as a client they will be carried with them.Meanwhile an investing friend has told me ENVS is US listed but I only see lse {have not put a lot of effort into looking yet]If however they are the co known by Americans it cant be bad as it would appear that Americans are also aware of TAN. | debbiegee
20/6/2007 08:53 | Here is how the two compare - ENV vs ENVS Can someone bring up a chart for its AMEX (ENA) listing? EDIT: Ah, hang on - it's in my own header link above! | m.t.glass
20/6/2007 08:44 | debbiegee - I wonder. When setting up this thread I was prompted to do so by someone trading it at the time - but I cannot recall the reasoning for selecting ENV rather than ENVS, and would welcome some clarification of the distinction between the two. There is, like you say, a significantly narrower spread on ENVS. Though ENV capitalisation (£48m) is several times greater than ENVS (£16m). The existing ENV thread has drawn only 4 postings in nearly two years - so it doesn't seem there is any greater interest there. I know that when I asked for a quote on ENVS once I was told the stock was unavailable at that time and was asked if I meant ENV. If people think I should include charts etc for ENVS as well as for ENV, I will do so - but won't if people think that will be confusing. | m.t.glass
20/6/2007 08:33 | can anybody tell me why you trade here and not on lse:envs where the chart is far more appealing and spread minimal? | debbiegee
20/6/2007 08:28 | - and barely a flicker in the share price.. | m.t.glass

15/5/2007 11:33 | The worrying thing in that report - unless they amend it later - is that in the closing line regarding profitability it says "cannot give any guarantees this will be achieved" rather than "cannot give any guarantees about WHEN this will be achieved" which kind of allows that they might never do so! | m.t.glass
15/5/2007 11:30 | LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Enova Systems Inc (otcbb: ENVA.OB - news - people ) swung to a first-quarter net loss, and said it sees costs increasing further as its auditors uncovered 'material weakness' in its internal controls. For the three months to March 31, the AIM-listed company posted a net loss of 1.19 mln usd, against a profit of 145,000 usd last year. Total net revenues, however, increased to 1.54 mln usd from 309,000 usd a year ago. Enova said it has concluded that as of March 30, 2007 it did not maintain effective controls over the inventory pricing, tracking, and the reserve analysis process, which could result in a misstatement to the cost of sales. Its auditors have therefore determined that these significant deficiencies constituted a 'material weakness' in internal controls. In addition, the company said during the period under review, operations required 1.87 mln usd more in cash than was generated as it increases spending to meet customer demand. Enova said its business outlook is improving, but that while it will continue to examine cost reduction possibilities in 2007, it sees selling, general and administrative expenses increasing further in the near future due to expansion and currency effects. The company added it is focusing on attaining profitability, but cannot give any guarantees this will be achieved | m.t.glass
