If I am understanding the notice you get twice a year, the stock we have bought is not simply a share as others in the market.
It looks to me as if we have 10 more years to the lifes end of the field, OR!
Ex number of barrels extracted before that time.
At the end of all this your share will be worth 10% of what you bought it at.
By that time, the dividends you have received should tot up to much more than the amount invested.
I have probably got it all wrong, so please don't take my views as gospel.

LASMO PLC were recently taken over by Agip for around £2.00 per share so hopefully Mr Badger hung on and recovered his money. LASMO OPS I believe are oil production stocks. I think these were issued to raise the capital to develop one of the North sea fields (sorry can't remember which one).

I'm not sure you would have been able to buy at 25/26. If you look at the intraday charts the price went down to this level after 4.30, and was then up again when the market opened the following morning. You can also see that there have been very few shares traded so the MM's would be unlikely to accept your price. I'm not sure what's going on, but I suspect that the share isn't actually being actively traded at the moment.

Is LSMO Opsus the same as the old Lasmo that spent years in takeover talks with Enterprise Oil? Or is it a totally different company. I appreciate some merger or takeover must have occured for the Opsus bit to appear. And how come this share keeps appearing in the biggest gainers list? 62% in one day today 3/7/01 what is occuring?

Thanks for any info.
