25/7/2012 16:13 | Perhaps not if they're still buying, Ed ;o) Somewhere between 16-18% has been sold down in the last 2-3 months...and still no disclosure. Very fishy... | knackers
25/7/2012 15:30 | surely the buyer should have disclosed by now? | edwardt
24/7/2012 11:18 | Well guys - who knows, but someone's buying and I think it highly unlikely that an Institution would be so keen to acquire quite so much, at this price and at this time. So my money is on a trade entity, someone that understands the tech and the prospects and that can help that potential be realised. (Casting my mind back to developments at IMG a few years back). Besides, I like to think positive ;o) Yup Ed, full patience was not there but L&G were overweight big time here and had bought in below £2 back in 2008/9 so could bag a good profit. I'd like to think they'll be happy to let their remaining 850k odd holding run. Exciting times... | knackers
24/7/2012 09:09 | yep - the l&g fund manager appears to have lost patience_ let's hope the city short termism is punished. small wager on juniper taking a holding??? wishful thinking maybe | edwardt
24/7/2012 09:01 | We now know that L&G have sold enough of their previous 2.3m shares to go below 5%. Perhaps the interesting bit is who bought them. An ideal way for a suitor to get a significant initial holding? | aspex
24/7/2012 08:40 | suspect that announcement will hit this pm or tomorrow am - could be interesting .... | edwardt
23/7/2012 14:47 | Spread closes to 10p as Canaccord Genuity raises Endace to buy from hold. | knackers
23/7/2012 09:41 | Defo. But we'll just have to wait and see... Typically T+2 but T+4 not uncommon. It seems woolly esp if there's more to change hands. But looks like a neat 10% stake in the Co has been taken (1.547m shares) which was part-filled by the block sells we've seen in recent weeks priced at about £2.90. Might explain Panmure's increasingly upbeat mood ;o) | knackers
23/7/2012 09:37 | Do they still have three days to report these? | kaspex
23/7/2012 08:55 | what are the timeframes on reporting this activity - given the size someone surely has breached the reporting requirements in both directions.... | edwardt
23/7/2012 08:28 | Nothing I can find to suggest who might have been acquiring. Nada, zip... Looks as though all Friday's trades were buys as they went through just below the offer price so unlikely they were on a matched trade basis. One might also have expected the buyer to have been buying off the bid. Not so - the buyer was clearly driving the action. Now, why would you buy 10% of the company before the Interim update? To make such a commitment right now you'd certainly need a clear understanding/apprec | knackers
22/7/2012 13:56 | Just back from early summer hols, Edward. My...what's been going on here!! Could be some interesting news associated with this large exchange of stock. Has a strategic partner been acquiring cheap stock I wonder? Not beyond the realms of possibility. Will have to do some digging around. But looks on first glance pretty significant - and interesting. Hey Mark, yup you're quite right but to be fair to the management team, they've weathered some chopping macro-waters these past few years whilst delivering on their strategy to create a bonifide "systems" proposition - substantially more than was my expectation with the cash balances they started with and from Ops. Not a bad effort at all. They're still ahead of this high throughput/enterpris Am quite happy holding here whilst watching (v closely) how they execute on the US go-to-market, which will now almost certainly be powered by some heavyweight channel support. Keep watching. | knackers
20/7/2012 21:27 | A very large 740,000 moved with equivalent on the other side of the deal at the same price 325p. That may be the turning point. A good time to think positive so.... Perhaps an announcement in the wings??? | aspex
19/7/2012 15:04 | knackers - you about - some pretty chunky volume just gone through - at least it is within the spread this time! netscout results out look good +27% for quarter - shares going well in early trade. | edwardt
18/7/2012 16:31 | i tell you what would be nice - some management buying of the stock - just saying.... | edwardt
16/7/2012 11:03 | Yup, K we've all agreed for a long time that EDA are well positioned - that's why we invested in the first place. 30-40%+ annual sales growth is what we were expecting - and which did justify a high rating. Actually, I understated the sales growth from 2008-12 - but it still only works out at 14% p.a.. I guess the Board is also unhappy - hence the strategic review. If Mike can't get sales moving, then perhaps the co. would be better off in the arms of a larger player? But it'll be hard to get a price that reflects massive growth, when the company hasn't delivered it for several years. Cheers, Mark | marben100
16/7/2012 10:39 | Gigamon Inc files US$100m IPO through Goldman Sachs, BoA/ML, and Credit Suisse. Gigamon provides "Traffic Visibility" solutions for enterprises, data centers and service providers around the globe. The company notes that Cisco Systems (CSCO) and Juniper Networks (JNPR) are competitors. The number of shares and anticipated pricing were not disclosed. intertesting to see how this one goes.... | edwardt
13/7/2012 14:46 | This article captures in a nutshell why Endace is so well positioned: This was echoed in recent articles "Endace, the google of packets" and here "Riley uses the term 'big data' to describe the new environment, and that's where his Google analogy comes in. As well as those super speedy networks, the company is dealing with extracting and storing the intelligence from the data it records...." | knackers
12/7/2012 18:52 | It could have been better for sure, s/w cybersec vendors have been closer to 30-40% pa but their valuations in comparison are in the clouds (quite literally). No Q. it's now predominantly a marketing-execution challenge they face (as their tech remains top notch) but I think someone will be wanting to get closer to them strategically in the coming months and recent marketing and product hires (ex Juniper) suggest relevance and interest/awareness there. I still find it baffling that Deutsche Bank would get involved in a strategic review without the expectation of some sort of transactional ($$$) activity down the line... | knackers
12/7/2012 17:45 | 'fraid not K - AFAIAC they've failed to deliver sales results that justify such a lofty rating. 25% sales growth over 4 years just doesn't hack it & whilst the outlook is OK, it doesn't blow your socks off. | marben100
12/7/2012 17:26 | Not yet, Mark. Looks like this year they're returning to a Sept timetable again - but would expect some meaningful news to accompany that. Would appear to be on track for 20% at the H1 (unlike today's price!) that's not too shabby. You thinking of dipping your toe again...? ;o) Rsignia/Endace client DISA soars to the top of the Defense Cloud: | knackers
12/7/2012 11:39 | Any news on when the AGM will be? Cheers, Mark | marben100
11/7/2012 12:35 | yep - i did note the uk govt - suppose it is a positive in that no action is not included in the q1 figures, more potential later in the year! I have to admit the share price is starting to worry me a little but hey ho - got to look at the fundamentals! Ed | edwardt
11/7/2012 12:10 | Oh boy, we're really having a happy old time of it here aren't we. Not! As Panmure say in this morning's note, the share price needs to "play catch up" with fundamentals. ...17% is pretty solid in this market and for Q1 even more so! Given the suggestion that the UK Govt contract still hasn't dropped I'd have thought they'd be happy enough with that start! But the market will want to hear it from the horse's mouth, so next key event will likely be the trading update with the AGM which may not now be until early Sept. Would expect a more concerted effort to reverse sentiment then. | knackers
11/7/2012 11:13 | and down we go- trying to find a level now surely. panmure note this morning states q1 was good with 17% yoy increase in bookings - now on ev to sales of 1.8, offers good value versus where it has been - above 3. cash burn is muted with $5m still in cash.... time to close your eyes and wait for the share price to improve along with the fundamentals.... | edwardt |
