02/10/2015 17:30 | In today’s warehouse data, stocks slipped a net 975 tonnes to 319,425 tonnes and cancelled warrants dropped 2,475 tonnes to 75,250 tonnes | lucky punter
02/10/2015 17:26 | No idea who it is. However if we get a second arrive or the supply dries up it could get very interesting. They will know as well as we do that the deadlines are looming and Emed/Atalaya are in production and ramp up is approaching completion. The market will know in December/January that production is normalised at 5 mtpa throughput and the company has complete 3 months of production at or above target. | lucky punter
02/10/2015 16:57 | Got someone in mind, punter? | stompy jones
02/10/2015 16:49 | Mr 500k is a very patient operator; that is the fourth 500k buy in recent days just mopping up the small sells. I suspect we have someone or a institution very steadily building a position buying whatever is loose without triggering a rise in the share price. | lucky punter
02/10/2015 15:46 | The provision is a standard with every listed company. It is a standard at every AGM and because the numbers have now changed by a factor of 30 the standard is simply transferred to the EGM to be rubber stamped. It does not mean they will issue any more shares and Alberto was very clear at Beaufort that they will not be funding from shares again; he also made it quite clear that Atalaya will be paying dividends in due course. There will be no placing; they do not need any cash they are fully funded and will be profitable in the next couple of weeks. The recent placing is looking like an inspired piece of work now. Right now you can invest well below the level that the major shareholders gained and entry. | lucky punter
02/10/2015 12:55 | Why would institutional money buy on the market when they can get shares lower through a placing? The so-called big trades are punters (ugh!) positioning early for a mining sector rally one day. A rising tide will lift all boats and there could be something in EMED/Atalaya for all it's shortcomings. Worth watching for somebody like me. | stompy jones

02/10/2015 11:20 | @Goldigler... "Proposed Consolidation of Ordinary Shares, amendment of the Articles of Association, Change of Name to Atalaya Mining plc and notice of Extraordinary General Meeting" Issued September 11th, 2015. In the "Resulting Share Capital" section:- the issued share capital of the Company immediately following the Consolidation will change and is expected to comprise 116,679,555 New Ordinary Shares. The authorised share capital will be £15,000,000 divided into 200,000,000 New Ordinary Shares. 200,000,000 - 116,679,555 = 83,320,445 which is approx 41.6% of the total authorised share capital. In response to LP, if they aren't going to issue any more shares why have they made provision so to do, on a pretty grand scale? Not that I object, dilution is better than debt at the sort of rates the likes of EMED would be expected to pay. | pawsche
02/10/2015 10:35 | Pawsche. That is not new money to the company; there will be no more shares issued. The new money will lift the share price by buying on the market. I suspect you will have noticed that some larger trades have been coming through at 3.6 and slightly above often for 500k. I suspect there are some relatively large positions building very quietly and slowly in the background. Clearly small sells are being mopped up and I suspect we will see that continue. Maybe these new holders will not sell out on a 3% rise like some seem to. Emed was never a quick trade and Atalaya will be just the same; PRT is a cash cow and the company will be hugely profitable. The profit making starts in the next few weeks as 5 mtpa throughput is achieved. However I suspect the market will have to wait until January to find out that they have normalised production at 5 mtpa after 3 months or more of 5 mtpa+ throughput. That is where I see the under-reporting and conclude that they are happy to see the stale shareholders leave. I would suggest that this share is on the cusp of commencing a long term and sustainable re-floating as commercial profitable production becomes a reality not just a distant block on a timeline. As for debating there are some on here who struggle to string a sentence together; if I wanted that kind of conversation I could go any Whetherspoons Monday-Friday during working hours. | lucky punter
02/10/2015 10:32 | zangdook, thought that's what you were implying. | waterloo01
02/10/2015 10:30 | Pawsche - where do you get the provision of 83,320,445 (41.66%) unissued "new" shares from?? | goldigler
02/10/2015 10:18 | waterloo It helps if you say who you're talking to. Obviously it's not me as I didn't say anything that could possibly be interpreted that way. | zangdook
02/10/2015 10:18 | It's pointless trying to debate with lucky punter IMHO . . . basically they have made an error of judgement here thinking they could make a quick buck trading EMED . . . Unfortunately the share price has fallen meaning endless averaging down and mindless ramping . . . It's ironic lucky punter is slagging off long term holders having become one due to this error of judgement IMHO . . . | cufes2
02/10/2015 10:16 | So you would have preferred to have £60m of debt on the books at circa 10% interest. In light of Glencore et al, I'd suggest it would have been a disaster. | waterloo01
02/10/2015 10:07 | LP is a moron. The point of the consolidation is to draw a veil over the fact that Alberto allowed the share price to be absolutely trashed and held down by vast dilution. | zangdook
02/10/2015 10:02 | @LP - 30 Sep'15 - 10:03 - 53539 The whole point of the consolidation is to attract new money from the city; Qué.?? I really don't see your point - the only way any "new money" will find its way to the company is if they release more shares, something you say that they aren't going to do, but have quietly made provision for by intending to create another 83,320,445 (41.66%) unissued "new" shares to be incorporated into the capital structure as part of the consolidation process. Other than that, it matters not who buys and sells in the market, it's just a respectable form of gambling that in no way benefits the company - other than a higher quoted price gives them the opportunity to get a premium should it go to the market for further equity funding - something that EMED has been notoriously inept at... As for your contention that "the city" will lead to a more stable level of trade I fear that "the city's" propensity to behave like a chicken with its head chopped-off (eg the Glencore debacle of the last few days) makes a nonsense of this. | pawsche
01/10/2015 14:13 | Oh SR the wise, if we followed his advice we would all be homeless LOL Now where is my sleeping bag so I'm in time to find a nice door way for the night LOL He may be right as the consolidation is going to allow us to drop a steady 3-5% each week until x-mas to reach his predicted 18 or was is 12p. Thinking of putting a short position on a nice spread bet for us to drop after the consolidation as I can't lose, if we drop I make money on my bet, if we rise I break even with my rise in emed shares. Tempting! | mds2028
01/10/2015 12:08 | No need to be bitter about others making money while you sink more money into averaging down here from 11p and you're still sat on losses . . . | cufes2
01/10/2015 11:49 | Pukey! what we would have done without you !! lol high risk/ high rewards! what a loads of BS! (as usual of course) | stockready
