31/12/2014 19:35 | Cheers guys, not overly concerned, we should all make our original investment back IMO. Could be worse you could work for City-Link and have no job to go back to. I have other investments doing fine ATM, but looking at going cash rich in a lot of them, as I said last night IMO the stock market is due a bear period, You win some you lose nothing lost here until I cash the chips in. 31/12/2014 18:43 | I don’t share all this doom and gloom. Having bought their shares, Trafigura made their requisition request to shake this rudderless company into action. It was an opening gambit that has achieved as much of its objective as is possible prior to granting of permits. The big changes are still to come. All this talk of being exploited by three dominant shareholders and being delisted is senseless. On the contrary I think the new, as yet incomplete, board will do everything possible to expand the shareholder base and would not be surprised to see a rights issue for PIs alongside the institutional placing. To do this the company will need to create demand for the shares as soon as the MP is given, which I expect to be very soon. Because of the length of time it has taken to reach this point and because previous Emed management never understood the timelines involved, constantly misled investors and spent shareholder cash as if they were already a FTSE miner, this investment will never be quite what some people hoped for - but we could still have a good 2015. Happy New Year | langostino
31/12/2014 18:35 | Ouch . . . hope it comes good for you . . . if you want another gamble then have a look at CRND . . . | cufes2
31/12/2014 18:07 | PawscheI wouldn't say a non event, I know it's vulgar but for me I'm around £60k in the red mate | wanderer1210_0
31/12/2014 17:56 | Ah well, EMED-wise a complete non-event of a year drags to a close... Let's hope that the next twelve months sees a few newly-rich people on this BB. :-) HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you and yours.!! | pawsche
31/12/2014 16:29 | Estienne are you by any chance Basil over on iii? You have a habit of posting minutes apart. Also last night he posted a sell rec. and now he’s looking to cut his losses, a strategy that you’ve employed in the past. | rich1e

31/12/2014 15:10 | MMs are not obliged to provide quotes for transactions that fall outside of the NMS . . . shareholdings of the size each of the three major shareholders have here would rarely be sold in the market as it would decimate the share price and be counter productive to the seller . . . hence a listing is irrelevant to this point IMHO . . . apologies for "being stuck in a groove" but if people are going to post inaccurate information the points need to be repeated . . . | cufes2
31/12/2014 15:02 | LH, No need to apologise. I wrote the post in a manner that I hoped would mean something to any who are seeking a different slant on the issues. CuFeS2 is a bit like a record stuck in a groove imo. I must admit to being a little surprised by your request, for I felt that you would certainly have resolved those issues in your own mind. | scrappycat
31/12/2014 13:51 | LH, I do not think any of the 3 would like to be beholden to the other 2 to realise the approprite capital value in any sale , whatever the proportion of their holding. Selling privately, to other than one or both, could prove to be extremely difficult since any prospective purchaser would face a similar problem and, afaiaa, would have no leverage if it was after a Take Off agreement (which are particular to the company holding them, not the shareholder). Consequently, the main reason for anyone to even consider buying would be the dividends. Contrast this with a listing - particularly main board. It is relatively easy to dispose of large or small holdings. The MMs are obliged to buy anyway. Many investment companies do not consider private companies for investment purposes for the reasons given above. They would certainly have no fear in investing in a listed company that has sound finances and is paying handsome dividends. The capital value of the shares could also be used as security should any one of them wish to borrow money for some project or other. I think you will find that many lending banks would have no interest whatsoever if the shares offered as security related to a privately listed company for there is no way they could regularly monitor the state of the security. Lastly, the share price reflects the perceived value of the company at any point in time. If the company shows increasing profits, the share price reflects that fact. Any company is happy to see the value of their investment increase. They do exist only to make money after all (unless they are a charitable organization). The main board listings are far less volatile, and more likely to reflect the real value of the company. Furthermore, greater liquidity is virtually guaranteed. P.S. Sorry to take so long in replying. I am pretty much a one finger typist, and it is quite arduous and time consuming for me. | scrappycat
31/12/2014 13:43 | Fools Gold I have taken a small position with profits from ARMS. I have been watching OXS and its arbitrage with the Uzbekistan's for what seems to be as long as EMED opening PRT. As o have said before I get limited time to trade these days, for a welcome change things have been good whilst I'm on leave | wanderer1210_0
31/12/2014 13:38 | EMED closed Dec 31 2013 at 8.5p. Closed today, Dec 31 2014, at 5.25p. Dreadful really. Happy New Year all. | yantatin
