Who's fault is it that the shares are worth less than $500!

The management are trying to reduce the number of shareholders with holdings of less than $500 because of the high administrative costs involved.

We should get a quarterly report in the next few days. It will be interesting to see how finances stand and how farmout negotiations are progressing both in the NS and France.

Lets hope so! 2012 could be the year when it all comes together and material progress is made.

Elixir have been awarded two more North Sea blocks in the Moray Firth area.

It will interesting to find out how farmout discussions are going with regard to Mosselle.

The quarterly results will be out at the end of the month. 2012 could be a turning point and a good year for Elixir.

Good luck to all.

Elixir had a very promising start in 2011 with the share price going past 20 cents. However, it did'nt last for long. The fraccing ban in France has taken its toll on the share price. The failure to farmout Tiger has just about capped it off.

Lets hope that 2012 is a better year. Hopefully, there will be good news on the farmout of Mosselle with a free carry for Elixir based on a multiple well drilling programme. Further down the line, the French Government will not be able to ignore the enormous potential of uncoventional resources in their country.

A happy and prosperous new year to everyone.

For what it is worth, there is an update on the Tiger farmout.

It would appear that the problem was not with getting DECC approval, but the farminee securing the necessary finance to implement the agreement.

Happy Christmass and New Year to everyone.

Looks like we are back to square one with Tiger.

See slide 18. The farm in deal has fallen through due to funding issues. They are now remarketing it.

From the presentation it looks like the main focus will be on Mosselle.

Lets hope they have better luck with attracting partners for Mosselle than they have had so far with Tiger.

The Elixir management are doing an excellent job in what can only be desribed as very difficult circumstances. No one can fault them IMHO.

It would be a good start if Chris Huhne could place a rocket under all those bungling bureaucrats at DECC. The long delay in the approval of the Tiger farmout is very frustrating and totally unacceptable.

Quarterly activities report to 30/09/11

'The joint committee of the French Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Ecology ("CGIET/CGEDD") published the first part of a two part study into the possible economic, social and environmental impacts of unconventional hydrocarbon resource exploitation within France in April 2011. The report was supportive of the examination of unconventional oil and gas shale potential within France and proposed that certain regulated exploration activity be permitted so that the size, potential and commerciality of unconventional resources can be assessed. Elixir understands that the final instalment of the report of the CGIET/CGEDD is due to be published in December 2011.'

Hopefully, there will soon be positive news about the Tiger farmout. It seems to me that the farminee is very serious about it. Anyway, we will soon find out one way or the other.

A very encouraging series of announcements with more to come.

It can not be too long until the TIger farmout becomes unconditional. It will be interesting to find out about the farminee.

Mosselle is looking interesting as well.

I shall continue to add at these levels and place them in the medium to long term folder.

DYOR and good luck to all.
