12/2/2008 11:44 | The placing was in effect @.264 - 45% fees lol, actions like that is what gives AIM stocks a poor story as it misleads investors in believing King Asia actually paid .48 when they obviously didn't. | grlz

28/12/2007 17:48 | ELEP.L 28 December 2007ELEPHANT LOANS & MORTGAGES PLC ("Elephant Loans" or the "Company")Trading StatementThe general "credit crunch", and in particular, the problems within the sub-prime mortgage market are well known by now. Conditions have improved since the trading update made in October, and the level of business completed in November was at the average level achieved during the first half of the financial year. The Company is starting to reap the cost benefits of the changes announced in October, although the full gains will not be felt until the next financial year. A series of further cost reductions have been made since October to ensure the company is able to focus on its core activities. The Affiliate Partner contracts signed over the past few months are also starting to contribute to revenue. Cost reductions that will generate savings in excess of £1m per annum have been actioned since the end of the half-year, but the cash position remains tight. The Board is confident of a much improved performance during the second half of the current financial year, it would be prudent to assume that results for the year will be below the market forecasts made last summer due to the weak performance during the first half and the continued impact of the "credit crunch". | knowing
28/12/2007 17:40 | looking very bad - possible dilution on the cards with a major placing to raise much needed cash imho | grlz
05/11/2007 08:13 | Interims due next month ............ may give clues. Talk to the sales team and they say they have more good leads than ever..... but the market is undoubtedly tough. Spread is horrid, volumes low, so trading unattractive. | flyinghog |
