Of the shares I have, this is the one I am least happy to hold even though I am (just) in profit

Has anyone ever seen any of its products? I tried to once but turned up a day late.

Which probably says more about me than the company.

Not looked at this for over 6 months. Filed the share certificate as I hold at over £.

Selling property now to generate profit. Seems they do better at that than on software products.

Any comments?

properties now revalued, look at the effect! In my opinion the only direction for this share is down.

Figures are due soon for EDP , one to watch out for , it has lots of cash in the balance sheet and properties last valued at 1988? I think . A revaluation of them will send the shares soaring . Profits are a bit naff though and rare !

There seem to be signs of life in the EDP share price. Anybody know why?

Funny how most of their competitors are posting better results. I have a contact at a Manchester based firm who operates in the same sector. They have never been as busy! Remember this company do not have a sales force as such. There are a couple or three account managers and that is it! Why continue to plough so much into R&D when there is nobody to sell what they produce. DYOR

Well maybe, I think the business must be worth more than I indicated, I was trying to be conservative, but revenues really have dived. As largest IT supplier to the "independent" builder / timber industry (they say), then larger player in similar sphere could sell off head office and x-sell product. It just goes to show though that delayed numbers are usually bad numbers.

I'm not sure there's enough value in here at this price to make it worthwhile, I guess it depends on just how much more than book those properties are worth.

Results are poor, profits down and "tough" environment. Mark down in share price likely to remain supported by NAV and unbooked property uplift, but not an inspiring share to hold. I think fair value on sale would be achieved as 1x revenue + NAV + prop uplift which would be nearer £1. No sign of "for sale" flag. Will be interesting to see what, if anything, Petchey does.

I rang the company and they didn't have an exact date yet, although they did say the results will be this month.

I've just checked holdings data and Trefick (Jack Petchey's company) appear to have about 675,000 (2.75% of the company) shares in EDP.

Can't understand a 5% increase in this stock on such a small volume. Anyone got any ideas.

I'm taking this opportunity to go back in at this bargain price . The mark down this morning is only because of the ex div having passed last night Long term - with the asset backing - I think this is a solid little investment.
