01/6/2001 10:29 | gump.. Been trying to find out more about the Brewers case. Could you please point me in the direction to find data on the net as I am outside the UK. The only Brewers I know of are the paint and decorating wholesalers, one of whose branchs is on the High Brooms trading estate at Tunbridge Wells - is this the Company?. IMO never a good idea to be seen to pressurise customers of a taken over company as they will in my experience - especially if they have had a good relationship with the prior company - take the opportunity to look around and if there are "threats" they will be even more inclined to leave. Will be very interested in your comments/'views. richard. | pugugly
29/5/2001 17:46 | EDP have lost an important legal case against a company called Brewers who were one of the largest customers of the recently acquired BCT. Despite the protestations by Jowitt this acquisition is not going well and the Brewer case is the tip of the iceberg. Apparently Jowitt has started legals against a number of companies and some of the larger BCT customers are now shopping around for new software so they can ditch BCT/EDP | gump
26/4/2001 10:33 | points made in meeting to that effect.CEO states they do try but analysts dont seem to understand what co. is trying to achieve. Also techinvest didn ,t bother speaking to EDP before they drop coverage. If you look at Accounts they are clean-no options,no debts no funny reserves, all r+d wo to P+L ETC. I agree though they could do more to get message across. | feedthegoat
26/4/2001 07:20 | albeit small amounts (20K & a 37K) it seems someone is picking up a few. Small rise again this am. Will the CEO tell the market about NAV of company, because just going through news releases it is very hard to gain any info at all. They need to work on their PR side a little bit. | recruiter
25/4/2001 12:25 | 20000 buy gone thru- unusualsize! | feedthegoat
25/4/2001 09:14 | There will be no news from AGM(I asked the same question a year ago). T he CEO +Chairman own over 10% each.He told me as the properties have largely remained at historical cost then if you add property to cash this exceeds curr.MV ie business in for free. If they can put right the busineses they acquired from the Receiver then there will be a large rerating It could take any ammount of time for the mkt to spot potential but these are a very safe tuck away IMHO. To quote CEO "Where else can you buy £1 ASSETS for 50p" | feedthegoat
25/4/2001 08:28 | holding up well, any new news coming out. I've gone through AFX/RNS news feed on ADVFN, can't see anything about agm ? | recruiter
06/3/2001 18:29 | Acquisition going well.Spoke at length with RJ afterwards. Major Director buying about to hit mkt. These are GROSSLY undervalued. Looks like the party has already started whil i was at the agm. Watch these go. DYOR | feedthegoat
06/3/2001 10:27 | I understand that none of the BCT Esprit User Group have signed-up to the new terms and conditions that J has tried to impose on them . Please ensure you ask at the AGM what the story really is because the gloss may be quite thick. | zx
05/3/2001 16:56 | Spoke to RJ.Everything seems ok.Reading between the lines Directors have their persoal cheque books out.I bought today.AGM TOMORROW. | feedthegoat
03/3/2001 22:58 | Write up in Fridays investors Chronicle. Not a recommend, just an annual report review. Nav 67p Net cash £9.56M Dividend yield (@ 54p)4.1% Market value @ 54p £14.12M If anyone is interested I will type out their words. I don't hold these shares, they are on my slush-fund watch list. 01/3/2001 16:29 | Jowitt buys some shares at last although a small amount. still its a start. | feedthegoat
19/2/2001 16:21 | Apparently the acquistion of the trade of BCT Software (a company that went bust)last year has not proved to be a good move. Jowitt tried to force new terms and conditions on the BCT customer base and they do not like it. In fact there is already one major customer who has gone to court against EDP and have won the first round with costs awarded. There are likely to be further court proceedings all of which will divert management time, cost loads of money and probably spoil the EDP brand in a relatively tight market place. Further proof in the industry is that one of the other major customers acquired from the BCT stable (probably BCT's largest single customer) is ditching EDP, for an alternative product. If you are at the AGM then it might be worth asking how the sign up of BCT customers to the new terms and conditions is coming along. It could prove a very expensive acquistion. Desperate times = desperate measures? | zx
15/2/2001 10:17 | Why is this drifting down? The fundamentals say this is way too low.AGM early March and i,m definitely going. Why is the co. not using its cash pile to buy back shares when they trade below NAV!!!!! | feedthegoat
02/2/2001 22:44 | imho for what its worth being a novice investor, looks cheap at 67p, with net cash of 9m & assets of 8.8m, pays a constant dividend over the past 5 years of about 2.2p returns a profit of over 2m for 4 of the last 5 years up to 1999, what went wrong, not seen 2000 results yet, only stumbled across this company because i put the wrong epic code in, now added to my monitor for one to watch any input appreciated on this one. frank | frankspencer
02/2/2001 11:10 | Anyone know anything. The share price is slipping below NAV! Tried to speak to CEO but always too busy .I s this a buying opp? | feedthegoat
15/12/2000 10:34 | ebiz Yes still hold these, at least they have always shown signs of spending cautiously so maybe the opportunities they have been looking for over the last couple of years may present themselves now. PitBull | pitbull
14/12/2000 18:00 | :) been busy - and came across these in the course of business. | ebiz
14/12/2000 16:50 | ebiz,hi, you,re not alone ,i,ve had a shed full for years. If they ever get it togetther thstock could really motor .Good luck, and dont leave it a year till the next post. regards Blue. | feedthegoat

10/11/2000 16:56 | Snap.Spoke to Jowitt once but their investor relations are poor.A good defensive tech stock with strong cash position. Didn,t think i,d see 77p again. If they were more open i,d by more. | feedthegoat |
