peaks in Dec and Jan look like a double top.

It could fall further still from here.

The board might not be very well but ECM is very much alive and I've had a good ride over the last year. I got out for the predictable post ex-date sell off but will be back as electricals seem to be the place to be as an alternative to commodities.

Wondered what had happened myslelf. Suggestions of manufacuring slowdown in the US dont know whether that was a contributory factor.

no idea what happened yesterday luckily I sold @242p a few days ago. I assume the traders are selling, readying for the buyback @ 205p(roughly) support level.

Interesting comparison between the Jan statement and the eoq one released this week, showing how sales growth is accelerating. Compare the figures:

Jan:
The Group has seen a sharp improvement in sales. While for the four months to the end of January 2010 Group sales have been flat, all regions had returned to year on year sales growth by December. In January Group sales grew by around 10% with the International business growing by around 12% and the UK by around 5%. Within the International business Europe sales grew by around 8%, North America by around 15% and Asia Pacific by around 21%.

e-Commerce continues to be an increasing proportion of Group sales. In January e-Commerce revenue grew by around 30% to around 45% of Group sales with North America showing particularly strong performance, growing by around 90%.

End of quarter:
In the quarter ended 31 March 2010 Group sales grew by around 15% with the
International business growing by around 19% and the UK by around 9%. Within
the International business Europe sales grew by around 12%, North America by
around 28% and Asia Pacific by around 26%. Group e-Commerce revenue grew by
around 33%.

Ian Mason, Group Chief Executive, commented:
"I am pleased to report that the Group's sales growth has increased throughout the final quarter of the year with sales growing by around 15%.

UK manufacturing increased quicker than expected last month.

I think this helped earlier but Bloomberg took it straight off their front page as doom and gloom seems to be the agenda today.
