01/4/2016 18:39 | Infact dukedosh did u go the website and see whats going on and the sheer size and opportunities thats available in eland. Where did u get the 30 euro a barrell figure from by the way? Are u sure they couldn't profit on less? They seem to be ok to me when reviewing the financials. | laptop15
01/4/2016 18:00 | I read the Eland Feb 16th operational date to be quite positive! Am i wrong? | laptop15
01/4/2016 17:48 | On Eland i thought like the work overs were going well, reducing costs and improving turnover. Nigeria is the added bonus but not without risks. But isn't oil a risk anyway. | laptop15
01/4/2016 17:45 | That's an interesting view....how do the brokers give this such high estimate? Now u have me thinking... lol...i thought it was a solid bet in the long term? Maybe i should switch to a better oil AIM...any suggestions? Was looking at Victoria oil and also Wentworth resources...they possibility look financially secure. What do you think? I'm also invested in 2 other oil ones...1. Rockhopper.2. Hurricane energy.I feel you have to have some oil plays for the recovery that will come sometime. | laptop15
01/4/2016 12:39 | Really? With Trans Forcados out until May at least, there's little revenue generation going on here. With more pipeline and infrastructure issues, vandalism, sabotage, etc., , a high break even oil price at around $30 / bbl., and what must be now a cash strapped company, it's difficult to see how the company will monetize their assets in the short to medium term. Nigerian O&G outfits are way undervalued for very good reason. Looks to me like a classic value trap even when oil price rises. As usual, this is all in my opinion, of course. | dukedosh
01/4/2016 12:26 | Eland....the future looks brighter and share price will rise! | laptop15
24/3/2016 20:23 | Bought back in today guys....think we could see upside soon! Definitely in the long term so good investment :)) | laptop15
23/3/2016 16:50 | Eland oil is on the slide again....wonder whats happening here....lots of selling today!! | laptop15
21/3/2016 17:44 | Bought at 26.5 and sold at 33.75....now and thinking there is still a huge upside on this if the brokers are right it could be a good recovery plan! Will oil head towards 50 per barrel or will it slide? I suppose if the freeze goes ahead soon it will increase! The analysist's have me weary as the feel oil has done the dead cat bounce and will decline again....but i believe this will not be the case. Anyone else have any thoughts?? Or know of any better AIM oil companies to invest in? I'm also looking to invest in Wentworth resources as the look to be heading in the right direction as a company :-) | laptop15
07/3/2016 15:33 | Any reason why these have suddenly gone crazy? | spooky

05/10/2015 19:08 | The piece saw coverage initiations on Seplat (LON:SEPL) and Eland (LON:ELA), both with BUY recommendations. We estimate that Seplat’s fair value is 145p and Eland’s is 116p. The continued divestiture of onshore/shallow water Nigerian licences by international oil companies, a new marginal field licence round and commercial domestic gas pricing should present great scope for creating value over the next few years. For the individual company pieces, click here for Seplat and here for Eland. | bugle4 |
