14/8/2009 14:36 | This from Panmure Gordon this morning : EG Solutions (AIM:EGS) positive start It's a case of good things in small packages from EG Solutions with a positive H1 trading update. The shares badly need a period of consistent performance so little good things combined with little positive steps are a necessity. We sense the macro backdrop ameliorating and the EG offer looks much sharper, indeed where we are in the cycle companies should be interested in operational improvements as they look to take cost out and de-layer processes. According to EG, H1 results are "in line" with expectations featuring revenue c £2.1m admittedly down from £2.3m yoy but profit is far better being a turn round from a loss of £0.8m in H2 last fy to a profit of c£0.05m - itself being flat yoy. Cash is also on an improving trend with net cash, 31 July 2009, at £0.6m up from £0.26m at the fy end. EG also says that the market is difficult but despite this reminds investors that it announced a number of new contract wins in recent weeks and that "over 80% of anticipated revenues for the year to 31 January 2010 already contracted". Interim results are 23 September. | cyberpost |
