NT. if they need cash it will be on favourable terms and it won't be used to keep the lights on. Likely substantial premium.

Do you guys agree with some of the folks on LSE that EDL will probably need some more money to get this operation going (either through a loan or a placing) ? I would imagine any placing price to be quite decent, so don't get me wrong.

From the recent Resource Technical Assessment,

" The Company is looking at suitable mining options to maximise the recoverable tonnage from the deposit with the aim to keep coal extraction and processing costs below US$30 per tonne.

Washing the coal to a moderate degree could provide a product with an energy value of approximately 14.5MJ/kg, the raw coal yielding a high recovery of approximately 74%. Recent independent feasibility work on the project by a major EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) group has confirmed this grade of fuel product as being suitable for power generation utilising recognised Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) technology. "

If they can keep costs at $30 per tonne or less it could make a nice profit.

Rufus Short CEO of Edenville Energy commented: "I am very pleased we have been able to reach the stage where we are confident there is a long-term market for the coal from Rukwa. Our goal is to move our asset into generating positive cash flow in the near-term and to become a key supplier of coal in the East Africa region. Production will take place alongside the continued advancement of the planned coal to power project."Cash positive and key supplier.
