22/8/2016 09:51 | Sadly, as even the bod of Edl have recognised and reiterated in a recent RNS. Small volumes can swing the share price either way quite a bit. So those seeking 10-20% rise and profit will just drag the share price back down. Also, playing on the minds of many and taken yet again from a recent RNS is the statement that the reason Edl is doing a 20 for 1 consolidation is so they can continue to fund themselves via below share price placings, not at a premium, above share price placings. That's not good as it shows even though they have a full mining licence, over 172 million tons of coal, a power plant plan in the bag, near to surface coal that they could easily dig and sell right away, and now a blanket ban from Tanzania of imported coal giving Edl almost free range to sell at the highest price, THEY STILL HAVE NO FUNDING WHAT SO EVER APART FROM SHAREHOLDER SHAFTING share price DILUTING PLACINGS. SHOCKING!!!!!!! | jacksonpollack

17/8/2016 20:58 | For Rufus to claw back some confidence from shareholders, he has to secure financial funding whilst he's in Tanzania and stop placing all the time. It should be a given now and he should have backers kicking his door down to get in now. | jacksonpollack
17/8/2016 15:09 | The coal import ban is a huge slice of fortune, but many unexpected things happen in life let alone business, the important issue is how you react to these events. EDL now have a great oppotunity to capitalise, my worry is - gievn previous form, the BoD have the ability to do so....... I am very, very dubious of Rufus and co but I hope I am proved wrong. A little more patients and time will tell - this shouldn't be an issue for me & most of us other long term holders ! Good luck all. | stevie050

17/8/2016 09:18 | I asked the PR man Tim if it was the right time to get Rufus back on Directorstalk or SharePickers. He said it was but that right now Rufus was in Tanzania, but "the line to TZ has not been clear enough to record something decent so far" I asked when is he back so that he could do it when he was back, and I was told "He doesn't know at the moment" So I'm guessing but it looks like Rufus is staying out there until the deals are signed before the 28th Aug, and to get the coal mine off the ground. Just my thoughts, but he's out there for a reason, and he's not planning on coming back just yet for a million reasons ££ | sausageonastick
17/8/2016 09:02 | Fair play to JP he is right...this is not from a company strategy but local circumstances / politics good fortune - it could have been the opposite and thrown open the door to imports...the EDL BOD can step up though if they leverage the good fortune in the next 2 weeks...then we can judge. | cricket mad
17/8/2016 08:56 | Well, who would have thought it. The best news we've had in ages and JP manages to put a downer on it. | dbno
16/8/2016 19:51 | Looks like more by luck than design, Edl might have pulled it off. Banning imports is the best thing that could have happened. And it all takes place in a matter of weeks rather than the normal years we are accustom to with the Edl bod. No reason why next placing shouldn't be at a significant premium to the share price when it takes place. Everyone who uses coal will be clambering to get a contract with Edl to supply them. And even with the power plant being a fair way off, a deal will be getting drawn up sooner rather than later to tie in the plant and edl's coal. As I said the Edl bod have flukes it and can take no credit for it. | jacksonpollack
16/8/2016 14:52 | The long march back up. Baby steps first. | whoppy
16/8/2016 11:33 | No reason why we can end the day up 10% again today. We know they are in discussions to set up a mine and they are discussion with potential customers. Looks like Edenville applied for a new prospecting licence (PL/11342/2016) yesterday on the day they released the RNS about coal import ban. The licence covers over 30km for coal (and limestone??) Two days at over 600,000,000 traded each day should get the momentum going. | sausageonastick |
