Looking in here, reading through recent official news items, this was stated:"The presence of a 5.3 metre wide reef (drilled thickness) with visible gold in the first drill hole core is a positive development and we look forward to receipt of assay results from the laboratory as soon as possible."This doesn't imply, in any official capacity, that shareholders are to expect a further imminent announcement. But presumably that has been quoted in interviews? Surely the company will be looking at the most appropriate way to collate data and inform the market when they can quantify findings in a meaningful way?

He can’t tell us that there will be a near-constant stream of drilling and assay news, then give us no news for nearly a month. Unfortunately, that’s what he has done and I am fed up with repeated excerpts from old presentations, or previous tweets!

To be fair, CB didn't say there was gold below the already known 5m interval, only that there was quartz that could possibly contain gold for a further 100m.

I tend to agree. I suspect CB will have been hesitant to get the market too excited about the quartz discovery from hole 1 in case it didn't align with 2. Having both scrutinised together would be a sensible thing to do and could explain the delay.

All speculation though but would make sense.

My guess is that they are interpreting the assays and calibrating against hole number 2 to prove connectivity and prove what they've discovered is no anomaly.

The volumes are tiny too so I don't think there is any leak of bad results, just a lot of nerves. I must admit to being nervous now but I've not put my house on this coming off. If strong results start flowing I may do though!

Didn't GGP hold essays results and release them at set intervals..?

It will be interesting to know what has caused the delay in release (if it is indeed a delay, we don't know this for sure, it may have taken this long to formulate the RNS and lodge etc).

The market has clearly assumed the delay = disappointing news but in reality we have no idea, and at these levels any good news should be rocket fuel.

If news is bad AND price sensitive they are supposed to release it immediately, however, they can argue that poor results prove a concept, or are within broadly expected parameters, or they can cobble some other news onto the RNS to mitigate.

If news is good, and price sensitive, they don't need to release it straight away if it is commercially sensitive, ie that news has a bearing on the outcome of some deal or other with third parties.

I didn't think a company could hold back news if it was price sensitive.
