Look forward to positive words on Jan 8th - then a lean few weeks - I would expect the price to rise on the good news about christmas then slip back during feb/Mar - expect general trend upward this year - excellent stock

Reported in the Telegraph today that Dresdner expect 85% growth in the market over the next three years with EBQ having a 25% market share. Games sales tend to be pretty good during lean times too - people spend more on home entertainment as it's cheaper than going out.

The Governor of the Bank of England Sir Edward George stated yesterday that interest rates may have to rise if high street spending is not curtailed.

I interpret the slow drift downwards so close to a supposed bumper Xmas trading statement as a warning of worse to come.

Price is down because of gloomy post-christmas retail outlook. It appears that everyone went bananas over Christmas but are expected to tighten belts/wallets in 2002. A lot of people are getting into debt as a result of spending beyond their means.

EBQ will still do well - this is a good buying opp. in my opinion. Shame I haven't got any money to get in there!!

Looks like I spoke too soon about breaking 150p. I'll just have to wait until 8th jan for the xmas trading figures, I would expect them to be good though.

I really think this can break 150p in the near future, maybe before the jan 8th trading statement.

Guys, They have had a very good Xmas. Question is how much of it is in the price? I am sure there will be a blip up when announced their Xmas trading news.

Karl....I don't know what u have DB priced at, but if u want to shift em
you may have to take a hit. The £7.50p ps1 and £11.25p gba +vat was refused
by us the week before xmas.

Hope u have a great yr.

High Chef

DBS is dead in the water, to say we've had such a fantastic December we can't shift the bloody things on PSX or GBA.

If EBQ has anywhere near as good a Christmas as we've had the share price is going much higher.

As for wholesale DBS not sure what price they're offering but I have been asked if I want any - replied with a resounding NO THANK YOU!!!

I would be suprised to see a trading statement from Rage....they would be too scared to.

karl, The Toon, which may explain the lack of demand for DB.

chaps - how is X-Box going to effect the market? Is EBQ taking advance orders and do you think many people are holding back to buy this machine? Also - why is EBQ often not selling the top titles - GT3 was nowhere to be seen in my local store in the build up to Christmas, so I went to V-shop. My concern about EBQ is that some of the stores seem disorganised even though the staff are keen.

I think 150p might become reality if the late xmas spending spree was as good as they say it was.

Again roll on 8th jan.

lining up 24 deep in two rows at the local GAME store today, as the little wretches can't spend their Christmas cash quick enough.

Roll on Jan 8th trading statement.
