Our resident moron is a worried man. Q: Who will first be up his garden path? A: 1. The FCA for spreading false takeover rumours last summer, OR 2. The bailiffs and their alsatians after failing to meet numerous margin calls on his disastrous cfd positions where he went long at 1950p. Just more tripe, garbage and nonsense 24/7 from the resident moron Everything he writes has zero worth and no value. Just drivel. Just ignore. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP
With a purchase at big as that over £100m surely that's a takeover in pipeline?
LargeChablis very unhappy with you. Your CFD providers will soon be sending in the bailiffs after numerous margin calls which you have not been able to meet having bought at 1950p. Spreading false takeover rumours last summer. Tut, tut, tut. just more and more garbage, nonsense and drivel from tslobs. 24/7. everything he says is completely worthless. specialises in dispensing fake information and deceit. just ignore. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP
tslobs bought at 1950p and is in deep trouble with numerous margin calls from his cfd providers who are now breathing down his neck, hence his desperation - even to the extent of spreading false takeover rumours last summer. otherwise just more nonsense from tslobs. just drivel and garbage. 24/7 just ignore. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP
please note that tslobs2 is a flagrant ramper - even to the extent of promulgating false takeover rumours in contravention of FCA regulations. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP
Pointing people towards financial website publishing speculation can not be classed as "promulgating false takeover rumours" you feckin eejit :-) PMSL ALL IMO DYOR
It is very interesting to read the posts of tslobs2 from around last August. The ones where he was promulgating false takeover rumours. Do scroll back and have a look at those. Did anyone print hard copies? Who knows. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP
LOL. Wasn't the rumoured takeover on various web sites at the time? That should keep the authorities busy - In Their Humble Opinion (ITHO) QuePassa you are economical with the truth at best and monitored for your racist rants. Perhaps they should also monitor you for the ADVFN Village Idiot of the year award :-) You might want to lie low for a few months/years.....
i wonder to myself if the FCA may or may not be conducting investigations into various parties who were promulgating false takeover rumours last summer. it really wouldn't surprise me if they were...... This is an extract from the FCA warning as per the foot of this page: "This could lead to an unlimited fine and up to seven years in prison. If you have any information, concerns or queries about market abuse click here." ALL IMO. DYOR. QP
Its Friday lads and lasses. Will all you doom mongers log off your computers and get a life? At these prices and with the current exchange rates make no mistake EasyJet are ripe for a takeover IMHO. They have millions of happy customers, lots of good routes, have a history of profitable operation. Investors are rewarded by dividends and there would be potentially huge upside in the share price if either a takeover or major alliance is announced.
Takeover rumours surfacing again. Over at ITV that is ;-)
tlobs, I don't know whether you follow Naked Trader ( I do). He has also mentioned EZJ as a possible takeover target if the price continues to weaken.. They may first suffer greatly though from a strong European stance re Brexit.
One can but wonder to oneself whether The FCA may or may not have received reports about certain parties promulgating false takeover rumours last summer on various bulletin boards. The FCA warning at the foot of this page makes for very salutary and sobering reading. this is a copy of it:- Important Message from the Financial Conduct Authority Posting inside information that is not public knowledge, or information that is false or misleading, may constitute market abuse. This could lead to an unlimited fine and up to seven years in prison. If you have any information, concerns or queries about market abuse click here. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP
That is probably as useful a warning as the advice given to ARM share holders before the announcement of their takeover. Just run past us again which group of industry eperts were advising the shareholder to sell at the time ............ DOH !!!! By the way the latest broker update ..... Cantor Fitzgerald 08/12 Reiterates Buy Buy 1,300.00p
QuePassa your opinion is worthless. You posted doom and gloom this morning and the share price rocketed. You have previously posted on here about the share price when it was 1900p, you've mentioned the high number of open short positions and on more than one occasion you've mentioned the "T" word where T = takeover. If I didn't know better I think you could be classed as one of those rampers that we hear about.
Takeover or not this will be a lot higher in time imho
spoole5, it looks like if Sir Stelios wants to take control of EasyJet and make all the strategic decisions then he is going to have to mount a takeover bid ;-)
philanderer19 Aug '16 - 11:51 - 2295 of 3511 0 0 "On a fairly quiet end to the week, easyJet is flying high on vague takeover speculation. "Traders heard talk of a possible £16 a share offer, perhaps from private equity or founder Stelios Haji-Ioannou or a New York firm. "EasyJet shares, which have been volatile since the Brexit vote, are currently up 44p at £11.22. The budget airline said it had no comment on the stories." For those who follow 'Naked Trader', it's worth noting that he see's this low price as increasing the likelyhood that EZY will attract a takeover bid from a larger rival airline.
Make your mind up QuePassa. Either the sector is booming or its not. And if Ryanair are having to cut fares to compete then so be it. EasyJet have reported increased passenger numbers and load factors for the past two months. And whilst you probably think is "Behind the times and out of date" it is the only facts that they can mention. They also refused to comment on speculation about a possible takeover remember. That is also a fact. Have you factored that possibility into your fall back positions as the price sails past £15 in a few weeks time?
QP - I understand it's uncomfortable being short with bid speculation swirling about, but it goes with the territory when a company is so obviously undervalued. Are you willing to state that a takeover is definitely not a possibility QP? Can you back that up in anyway? What sort of price would members of this forum consider acceptable? Personally I'd be looking for £18+ https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/1641678/budget-airlines-stocks-soar-amid-speculation-easyjet-will-be-bought-by-us-aircraft-giant-aercap/
Those City traders are quite smart (ahem ;-) ) The rumours of a takeover that saw the share price rise rapidly a few weeks ago started if I remember correctly from the City and it went from there. Interestingly EasyJet refused to comment rather than state that the rumours were wrong. so don't dispel it just because you've been told to do so by your boss QuePassa. You never know what's round the corner ............ and at £18 a share you'll be well out of pocket ;-)
francois - A takeover is extremely likely imo - just one more reason to take a position here
My take Takeover on the cards. This will move to £14 rapidly before the takeover is agreed at £18. This will play out in the coming weeks and months. DYOR
