19/10/2016 15:51 | Preparing to leave 9300ft and climb to 10000ft has none of the short guys realised what is going on here, UK next week will announce airport expansions at which point airlines will soar because market takes short and long term views and this will guarantee more expansion for IAG and what other major UK airline oh yes Easyjet because they won't be giving the slots to Ryanair as the UK won't be in the EU anymore simples | csmwssk12hu
19/10/2016 14:22 | Andy, how is your short here doing? You would have to be mad to short this but Andy is! He seems to have stopped posting here,I wonder why? | 12bn
19/10/2016 14:18 | "easyJet is the outperformer today, having underperformed all year compared to Ryanair. But there might now be an improvement in earnings relative to Ryanair, so that could start to reverse that trend," Chris Beauchamp, market analyst at IG, said." | suffersnofools

19/10/2016 13:05 | Interesting couple of days. Sterling holding up very well today post yesterday gains. Just need to break below .8923 as reported yesterday , tested at .8917 but bounced off. Another effort hopefully soon. Easyjet positive. Accor comments re UK hotel bookings as people travel to the UK for short breaks . Easyjet positive. This showed up in UK inflation yesterday . Easyjet positive, as increase in bookings from outside to into the UK. Even with a sizable bounce , share price steady. Positive Check through skysanner a number of destinations . Easyjet locations (Gatwick in particular) and flight timings mean better pricing power. Positive. Gatwick full, slots being assigned more and more for long haul. Competition have barrier to entry and with more long haul , connection flights . Positive. Still issues but in a great position above competitors | mastey

19/10/2016 09:44 | Certain investors getting it badly wrong. can't hack the reality of their wrong calls. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
19/10/2016 09:38 | Voldemort - as I recall, you were rather bullish on Ryanair's prospects a couple of weeks ago. The sector is being played, it's as simple and as straightforward as that. You can trade EZJ all day long, and hedge any position with cable if you so choose. Far better than adding to shorts at these levels. But you do as your told, it's not your money is it? | penycae
19/10/2016 09:36 | QP not all boats . Clever captains find the waves and wind to sail faster to better waters "Who moved my cheese" a very important lesson. One that Easy have understood rather than fighting at Stansted. Great Call. | mastey
19/10/2016 09:07 | A very bleak winter flying period in store for the European short-haul sector. It is going to get much worse in the months ahead in my opinion as new capacity comes on stream and all airlines will continue to see their profitability hit. Just as RyanAir issued a profits warning yesterday. For Ryan to be forced to do that is telling the market something hard-hitting and undeniable about the worryingly negative operating environment for the short-haul sector. A falling tides lowers all boats. When the impact and meaning of RyanAir's profits warnings yesterday are fully grasped by the market and finally sink in ,this will in my view prove to be a defining moment in the investor perception of the general current deterioration of the sector and just how embattled the operating environment is. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa

19/10/2016 08:57 | Statement from EZJ272/7 We have been experiencing severe turbulence and have lowered our height from just over 19000ft down to 8500 feet, we tried to climb to 9000ft but had to drop to 8500ft again we have however after dumping some over exposed holders and day traders managed to climb to 9000-9300ft and are in a holding range as we prepare climb to 10000ft and beyond, if you look out of your windows you will see some smart shorters jumping to take profits from the original drop which will accelerate our climb, those that stay on board will be thrown off in good time and we will be keeping the shirts off their back | csmwssk12hu
19/10/2016 08:50 | QP , Old Mutual, SA insurance co providing average at best performance over years, to poor insurance based retail investors. U.K. airport allocation key. Jet 2 taking on Ryanair at Stansted. Easyjet out of Gatwick can watch the fighting whilst keeping better margins. It's all about being in the best position in these difficult times. Thanks for keeping us up to date re shorters. Look at Odey and Crispun funds. Shows how shorting can really hurt when in goes wrong. | mastey
19/10/2016 08:38 | Don't worry Andy,we all know that you are just a depressed fat nutter, have you considered suicide? It would solve all your problems, try it and see! :) | 12bn
19/10/2016 08:35 | Andy Pipkin19 Oct '16 - 08:25 - 3689 of 3689 0 0 Sorry for my negative posts here but it is the drugs that the nurses give me that makes me so negative. This is the worst mental hospital I have been in and I have been in many! My weight problem is getting worse as well, as I am now over 45 stone! You all have my deepest sympathy having to put up with me,sorry,Andy Pipkin. | 12bn
19/10/2016 08:29 | Highly regarded Old Mutual Global Investors again increase their short on EasyJet as at 17/10. Now at 0.7% short. The competition in the sector will severely impact upon sectoral profitability this winter season. Ryan issued a profits warning yesterday. It would not surprise if certain other sectoral airlines were forced to do the same in due course. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
