18/10/2016 09:35 | Did somebody recently post that this could hit 1000p this week? Not a bad shout. Just wait for the twenty four millions share buy orders go out to close those open short positions :-) | tlobs2
18/10/2016 09:19 | Andy Pipkin18 Oct '16 - 07:44 - 3649 of 3656 0 0 nice yield though :-)//////// I think Andy is trying to be a wit,he thinks that he is but he is about as witty as Sean off the Chaser! | 12bn
18/10/2016 09:15 | Great news Ryanair profit warning as it proves Easyjet being well run and it's out of it's hands the issues, once pound settles prices will be adjusted, capacity is growing but demand is growing faster, as I said earlier would £10 in ticket price put you off travelling? I didn't think so price rises all round soon whether public like it or not, no one will advertise it bit it will happen and will have significant impact on bottom line, summer 2017 everyone will be paying more | csmwssk12hu
18/10/2016 08:04 | Ok give up euro/ sterling 0.900 this morning . | mastey
18/10/2016 07:58 | Nothing to do with capacity oh man! I give up sometimes. Ryanair confirmed that its H1 fares were marginally weaker at -10% compared to previously guided -9%. We would caution that this revised guidance remains heavily dependent upon no further weakness in H2 fares (-13% to -15%) or Sterling from its current levels (€1 = £0.9050). That's capacity ans sterling impacting them! | nigelpm
18/10/2016 07:56 | QP Ryanair needed to bring the market up to speed in line with Easyjet past announcements. As mentioned Ryanair has a major fight with Jet 2 out of its major airports. Easy out of Gatwick in a much better position. Sterling has held its position now for two weeks and no matter how hard the market short its holding on without any central bank intervention . | mastey
18/10/2016 07:51 | Ryanair profit warning | nw99
18/10/2016 07:51 | Nothing to do with capacity They warn today as did Easyjet the affects of Sterling "The primary cause of this slightly lower growth in full year profitability is the 18 percent fall of sterling post Brexit which will reduce second half average fares," the airline said in a statement Markets priced in hence why we are down at 8.70 | bigboots
18/10/2016 07:44 | nice yield though :-) | andy pipkin
18/10/2016 07:18 | Indeed QP. Like I said before if ryanair are struggling.... | nigelpm
18/10/2016 07:17 | OH NO! That's really bad news for the sector. Profits warning/reduction in earnings guidance from RyanAir this morning due to sterling weakness. Massive reduction in earnings guidance which is slashed from 12% expected growth to 7% expected growth. That's getting on for slashing previous forecast earnings by more than 40%. But very worrying is the fact that RyanAir heavily caveats the lowered guidance by saying: "We would caution that this revised guidance remains heavily dependent upon no further weakness in H2 fares (-13% to -15%) or Sterling from its current levels (EUR1 = GBP0.9050)." So it might not stop there. Clearly , there is every prospect in my opinion that there will indeed be further and ongoing weakness in pricing over the winter flying period in view of the massive discounting and Price War between so many competing airlines just as a great deal of extra capacity has been unleashed onto the market. Looks like those broker Price targets of 825p, 820p and 800p are getting more and more likely in my view. And people continue to say that everything is ok in the sector.......... Strap in for a bumpy landing. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
18/10/2016 07:17 | Ryanair warns. Will be a shocker today. | nigelpm

17/10/2016 11:50 | tlobs217 Oct '16 - 10:57 - 3641 of 3643 0 0 With the greatest respect Mr Pipkin I believe that they have significantly more experience at this sort of thing than you do. So 1300p the target is. Time to go long it would appear. All IMVHO//////// Andy Pipkin is the font of all knowledge,a legend.............i | 12bn
17/10/2016 11:21 | IMO :-) I pay more attention to these BB posts than brokers opinions. From BB posts, I can gain verifiable facts, and ask myself questions and make my own calls. Brokers opinions do not have any credibility for me..and they are opinions, so just smoke. Brokers target prices never quote a corresponding date, so have no meaning even if you did value their opinion. So when DYOR, I research facts / market trends /economics etc, I do not research broker opinion. | dr_smith

17/10/2016 10:45 | Cantor respected? You mean the ex inter dealer broker that is not really an investment bank who few listen to? | andy pipkin
17/10/2016 10:20 | tslob I hope you havnt forgotten the brokers that downgraded here, or do they not count now? Another bounce sold into, today. | andy pipkin
17/10/2016 09:28 | Nice to see several well respected brokers putting our target prices significantly higher than the current one. And lest we forget there are over twenty four million shares required to cover the current short positions. I think the first of those positions reducing or closing will give this a huge spike. And that is shares not pounds ;-) | tlobs2 |
