12bn, thanks for the heads up.

I had worked out that Plumpkin wasn't wired up right. I didn't want to push him too far ;-)

Perhaps they want to fly over to grab the last few jars of marmite?

good point

god knows why they would want to come to this hell hole though :)

athough i'm guessing the percentage of such flights is quite small compared to brits going the other way

So fed up on reading so one sided posts . Europeans now flocking to the UK for cheap purchases post the pound fall. Low cost carriers seeing greater euro booking revenue and bookings the other way round i.e. Europe to U.K. first leg. Jet 2 from Stanstead mentioned, check London stats nit just one airport. I only post to stop misinformation being written up .

It's a close call for muppet poster of the day between srpactive or Andy Plumpkin.

On reflection I think Andy just shades it ;-)

If the share tumbles to 300p, the company will be in serious trouble. So to expect a 66% premium there would be unlikely imo.

Because he would not get it at 350p.

I suspect he'd only bid 350p; why give money away?

The only time Stelios will be interested is if it gets down to 300p,
then bids 500p.

Oh no.

More negative sectoral news. The pressure and competition just keeps on mounting.

Jet2 are coming to Stansted next summer, offering flights to 21 destinations. More competition.

But the really worrying thing in my opinion is how Easyjet's market share at Stansted has dwindled over the years whilst Ryanair's Stansted dominance has risen from 65% in 2006 to 80% in 2016.

Easyjet's share at Stansted has fallen precipitously from 22% just five years ago in 2011 to just 11% in 2016. That's a big fall.

A well-timed debt raising does not make up for the enormous pressures within the sector and the ever-growing competition which hurts profitability so much.

And in my opinion, it will get significantly worse.

See article on Jet2 and RyanAir's dominance at Stansted:

ALL IMO. DYOR.

You are making yourself look even more ignorant than you already looked, which was as thick as two short planks.

Carry on.

SuffersNoFools, I am not sure if you spotted Andy Pimpkins post from earlier or not?

He stated that he thought that the majority of significant short positions were closed yesterday and the day before. That one did make me roar laughing.

I think he is struggling to work out how many shares 5% actually equates too :-)

PS Andy it's a big number pal

I'm sorry, I thought the comments of another airline talking about difficulties in the airline industry might be relevant.

I guess the share has performed so well that you guys know best.
