The handful of shareholders at the AGM yesterday were treated to a very frank Q&A session lasting over half an hour. The Chairman and CEO fielded questions from the floor with very full answers within the confines of the rules. Of particular note was the tour-de-force across all the geographical regions. It was made quite clear that the South African hospital contracts are delays, not cancellations, caused by the weakness in the Rand having pushed up the fit-out costs given that much of the medical equipment is coming in from Europe. Also the fledgling US operation is very much on probation and Driver is not prepared suffer losses for a prolonged period. The group was bullish about A-Pac and the medium term prospects in Oz, Singapore and HK. Lastly there was reassurance that management will only go along with forecasts by brokers that it is confident of meeting at present or possibly exceeding in due course as we get further into the year. The general view of those present seemed to be that we are dealing here with a confident, conservative team whose motto might be 'under-promise, over-deliver'.

Would agree with all of the above really - solid enough update. I think my strategy will be to hold and add on any significant share price weakness.

Based on last results as an approximate percentage of revenue - Europe 53%, Middle East 32%, Africa 10%, America 2%, Asia Pacific 4.5%.
Sounds like a solid statement to me as even with some issues with Africa / US would expect Trett acquisition and positive global macro trend to ensure growth elsewhere more than outstrips any of the softer markets.

Agree with you Stegrego and El1te. Looks to be on track and as pointed out, the weaker areas are smaller contributors.

Yes - Half expected that to be honest. Some investors probably read about Africa and the US And decide to sell despite thereality being that the impacts are negligible.

Much lower and I'll be tempted to top up. Good value here compared to the wider market

Statement read OK to me, yet it's being sold.

Good update: Asia trading ahead and Europe/Middle east showing growth but America and Africa behind. Luckily the latter two account for a very small proportion of total revenue so not an issue

Overall trading thus in line with expectations

Well, I'm happy to add at these levels.

The outlook statement reads well :

"We see the coming year as one in which we will continue to grow and benefit from the investment made in 2013. This growth is likely to come from increasing utilisation levels and taking of market share in America and Asia Pacific in particular together with opportunities to further expand in the Middle East.

We are delighted, across the Group, by the way our current financial year has started and particularly in Asia Pacific which is showing early signs of benefitting from last year's investment. Europe and the Middle East continue with the momentum experienced as we exited our last financial year. We have visibility of our first quarter performance and our secure work beyond the first quarter together with a strong pipeline of opportunities ahead which gives the Board a high level of confidence in the outlook for the remainder of the financial year."

Had a look at this one in the past but was waiting for a bit of a retrace and now it seems to have got there.
Fundamentals seem strong so I think I will take a stake.

A lot seemed to depend on the Woods contract win, maybe the quiet period has caused some worry? I have 9.1 and 9.5 eps 2014/15 and was expecting an upgrade to those. Has anyone seen anything?
