When the fundamentals are strong, the technicals only fill in the gaps.

Very difficult to find genuine value in the (income producing) small cap market at the moment, and this is one of those few that have that genuine value. Fully expect it to prosper, and happy to back it for a long time if necessary (as long as the fundamentals stay strong)!

Yes, my mistake - it states

An event changing the breakdown of voting rights: Yes

and no to the acquisition/disposal of shares section.

The Baronsmead announcement wasn't a sale; you can tell that because there is no change in the no of shares held before and after. It must have been a reduction in the % holding caused by the exercise of share options by the CEO last month, i.e. they've been diluted down.

Well, that's the whole retrace of the spike complete. Baronsmead selling down their stake a little further by the looks of it.

Shame I didn't anticipate this as it's now looking like a very good entry point - significantly oversold

One other question - was looking at the cost base. Stripping out exceps and share based payments, admin costs fell from H1 to H2 this year from £3.6m to £2.8m. Last year's H1 & H2 costs were £2.5m and £2.9m.

Anyone know why the costs fell in H2 this year or why the cost base was so elevated in H1?
Thanks

Saucepan - thanks for the extract from sharescope - I was looking at the forecasts on TMF, which they take from Digital Look, and wanted to check against what other people could see on different sources as they looked odd. Thanks also ElIte. TMF are giving 10.2p for 2013 and then 9.15p for 2014. So historically they take pre-exceptional but use undiluted share count and then their forecast agrees with jlo10's above, which appears to be diluted to me...i.e.not comparing apples with apples and making it appear earnings are declining sharply.

Don't really agree with not factoring into dilution from options etc as, using broad generalisations, if the investment is successful then the dilutive instruments would be exercised whereas if the company tanks then frankly I don't care whether there's a few more shares in issue. The dilutive effect on the no of shares for DRV is about 14% so relatively material

So for 2014, using Saucepan's sharescope figures', pre-exceptional PBT is forecast to be £3.2m in 2014 (diluted EPS of around 8.6p/8.7p)...only marginally up from the pre-excep £3.1m in 2013, though diluted EPS would then at best flat (probably marginally down) given higher share count.

Turnover is forecast to be up c.10% which ties in with the positive management speak at the results. I guess the questions which I don't know the answer to at the moment is what their track record is at hitting forecasts which they guide the analysts to is like and also whether, as these figures imply, extra cost is needed to drive the turnover growth and which therefore makes profits broadly flat...

£3.3m is forecast in profit for 2014, I believe. That, with the current number of shares in issue (diluted figure will be lower), comes to around 12p if my memory serves me correctly.

Earnings Per Share per the Driver accounts
Underlying* earnings per share was 10.2 pence (2012: 5.5 pence). The basic earnings per share was 8.3 pence (2012: 3.3 pence) and diluted earnings per share was 7.3 pence (2012: 3.1 pence).

Forecast in - is 9.15(2014) and 9.51(2015)

(A nice reminder of how good they appear)

Are you sure you have been looking at the correct figures?

Hello
This one has been on my watch list for far far too long, and as always, things which I don't buy go up!
Wanted to check what ppl expect for the current year. the market forecasts which I've seen have 9.15p EPS for FY14, which looks odd as its down on 2013 despite the recent results saying Q1 has been decent. What are people on here expecting for this year?
THanks

Adam

>>pj1 - mny tks, have followed your notes and they work ok. A chart is transferred (not tried it on this thread yet). However I'm still having one problem. I want to move a modified chart to the thread. I modify the chart all right and then go thro' the process you describe but only the original basic chart is transferred, not my modified one. Must be something to do with not saving the mods correctly, but I can't see it. I'm prob doing something stupid but I wonder if you know what that stupid thing might be. Tks, pete

Hi Pete, this is how I do it in ADVFN

In the Chart screen, scroll down and you will see a small toolbar and on the right hand side will be a picture of a Camera, click this once for the relevant chart your in, the screen should flicker slightly.

Then scroll back up and look for the ''Manage your screenshots with Chart Grabber''. Click

You should then see ''Link'' where you see a very long address.
Copy and paste but remove the
