02/8/2015 15:36 | Last year I did say 799p so an extra penny in the pocket is a bonus. G.L.A Not including Enoc and their Cronnies. | guy_fawkes
02/8/2015 13:28 | If we voted no, do we get the chance to sell at 800p or will this just be automatic? It's a total con and ENOC have got away with it :( | blakieboy7
02/8/2015 13:13 | Anyone think it's worth arbing the shell/BG deal ? problems deal may take a long time to complete exposure to shell share price (liabilities way too high and continuing poor outlook for the price of crude) | spob
02/8/2015 13:00 | this has proved a nice little arb play in addition to my long term holding i trebled my holding after the bid was announced :) will be sorry to see dragon go good luck to all fellow holders and thankyou fido for your tireless efforts over the years | spob
02/8/2015 12:51 | any predictions for the discount tomorrow morning i'm guessing just over 1% say 790p to buy ? | spob
02/8/2015 12:48 | Many thanks from me as well to everyone who has contributed to this thread. I've been here since 2003 and it has been a roller coaster of a journey but well worth it. My post 50528 was on the ball...."I'm pretty sure ENOC will only need to go to £8 max to obtain sufficient acceptances. As Exbroker has said, we are in the hands of the big boys now. Mind you it would be nice to get £8 plus a divi!" I am hoping that HUR, Hurricane Energy will follow in Dragon's footsteps but with a quicker payback time. DYOR. | chessman2
02/8/2015 12:41 | Really surprised that BG and Elliot folded so easily. Totally gutted!! | oscarino
02/8/2015 12:21 | 800p obviously not what many were hoping for, but with ENOC allowed to ride roughshod over minority shareholders, and regulators seemingly happy to let them do so, it's probably as good an outcome as we could expect. | dragon2go
02/8/2015 12:07 | Fido. Thanks for all your hard work over the years. Where are you going to next? | frank159
02/8/2015 12:03 | Your information and comment over the years Fido has been fantastic, and has helped me many a time. Thank you for this. | wwalbers
02/8/2015 12:03 | Thanks for all your postings fido. cheers slim | slim9
02/8/2015 12:00 | Well played B.G. and Elliot thanks for an extra 50p. As I said in post 50460 "ENOC unless they have very poor advisers will only raise the bid when they have enough irrevocables to take them over the finish line. The real meetings will take place next week when they find out who has accepted and who has not and how many more shares they need to get." I should do this for a living.......... oh I do!! | exbroker
02/8/2015 11:56 | Well said Fido but clearly the biggest of the minnows decided to cut and run and as small shareholders we are washed away in the tide like those newly hatched turtles........ | saywhat
02/8/2015 11:47 | I would just like to add that I feel very proud at the way people have fought for their shareholding of Dragon but we have been outvoted by the bigger players. I feel very sad about it being the end of an era but we are now forced to move on. With great respect to fellow investors. fido. | fido
02/8/2015 11:45 | Thats a shame, corporate theft at its best. Onwards & upwards to the next one. | wwalbers
01/8/2015 21:36 | Ah I see, Thanks Fido. | saget
01/8/2015 20:30 | Saget, I would not say impossible. They need 75% to delist and 90% to force you to sell. That is a 15% gap. | fido
01/8/2015 19:33 | saywhat - Great info you've provided, many thanks. It looks like the situation of us holding shares in a de-listed company is near impossible due to the "Compulsory Squeeze Out/De-listing" rules. Thanks again! | saget
01/8/2015 16:35 | hxxp://www.ibanet.or The above link - page 17 "Compulsory Squeeze Out/De-listing | saywhat
01/8/2015 15:25 | From bealey's link: "In addition, the compulsory acquisition provisions contained in the 2006 Act give the non- assenting minority the right to be bought out by the offeror following a successful offer. The offeror may therefore find itself under an obligation to purchase the shareholding of the outstanding minority even though it may not wish to do so." | saywhat
01/8/2015 15:20 | Must depend on whether the Irish Stock Exchange adopts any of the UK rules. | saywhat
01/8/2015 13:32 | May not be relevent in our case but Section 11 in this doccument covers shares in unlisted companieswww.ashurst | bealey
01/8/2015 11:58 | Many thanks mbutchers and blakieboy! Can now put the various manoeuverings by the Americans and the Scots into perspective! | saywhat |
