13/8/2009 12:07 | I think your right...I think this can run a fair bit longer yet until it comes crashing down. Might as well go with the flow and let the trend be your friend for a bit until the tide has actually turned rather than trying to second guess when it will turn. My strategy has been flawed it seems for the last few weeks as there has been a ton more points made out of longs than shorts...fact. | rockits
13/8/2009 12:03 | We have seen 'irrational exuberance' before. Remember the DOW run to 14,000. The problem is trying to assess when the run is over, they can go on longer than we think. | bracke
13/8/2009 12:02 | oh my u are a greedy one :- | dearsoninlaw
13/8/2009 11:53 | No point leaving it a savings account for 0.5% interest if the stocks will be going up by more.....simple as that really. Want to find the best place for my cash and that will be stocks at a much lower level if there is a big fall. Then and only then will I go fully invested. | rockits
13/8/2009 11:50 | just curious, why would u need to wait a year? | dearsoninlaw
13/8/2009 11:48 | bracke....that is what I was and am worried about but fed up with fighting it at the moment. I am 60% cash at the moment and may be quite canny with any investments with tight and trailing stops. That way if the market collapses then I just dump all my cash in at much lower levels. Something I wish I could have done in March when most stock was available at bargain lows. Most stuff bought then would have quadrupled it seems whatever you bought. I was just fully invested from end of last year and had to sit and take it on the chin. Timing is everything that is something I have learnt massively over the last year of part-time trading. Easier to be in cash....dump it in to good stocks at discount levels when it falls and just let it ride for a year without even the need to watch it....much easier and less stressful!! | rockits
13/8/2009 11:47 | Craigs wifes knitting club starts at 1400 today, hopefully he will be home soon after. I wonder if he will call a LONG Ready to Watch the action | moneyman18
13/8/2009 11:44 | for the kind of falls u are suggesting you would have to see ALL the support removed which I doubt will be the case.... STRONG SUPPORT IMO @ 10,000 :- ps watch this lol :) | dearsoninlaw
13/8/2009 11:39 | rockits The problem is that the higher they pump it the further it has to fall when the pumping stops. | bracke
13/8/2009 11:37 | obviously, craigs been Long all the way or not even trading the Dow and here trying to side track :- (IMO) | dearsoninlaw
13/8/2009 11:36 | rockits - well said :- | dearsoninlaw
13/8/2009 11:10 | I don't think the FED are going to stop pumping this until at least 10,000!! I can't see this magical 8880 or even less appearing from what I am seeing at the moment. Being short seems to be a mugs game at the moment. | rockits

Oh - and he proclaimed "Just topped up my DOW Short" and "Just topped up my LLOY Short" ! Will there be a resurrection at 14:30 today ? | wenlynn

13/8/2009 02:13 | Guys just got back from outside... We counted 11/13 small meteoroids....it was amazing! Always wanted to see a shooting star ever since i was a kid... Got my chance and saw a bunch! Fantastic! Daytrader...i need to thank yourself for posting it...otherwise i wouldn't off gone out my way to see the night sky....cheers buddy..much appreciated :))) Dark Angel = Craig?.... The reason why i get a high level of consistency is due to having the key information...whos buying whos selling...thats all it is...nothing more nothing less. I can't give to much away because LP will get upset. | 0pec |
