06/10/2003 10:16 | Hello TDay, I posted this on the fool site... Bought into this because it fits the bill of what we should be buying , at this stage in the business cycle. 1 Industrial cyclical that has been raising sales in an environment where capital spending has slumped. 2 Two recent earnings surprises on the upside. 3 Over last 5 years the improvement in working capital mangement has been remarkable. At a market cap of 190m the rolling Freecashflow is 24m so FCF/P is 12.6% 4 Rolling yield is 2.47% and is covered by EPS 2.71times. Only 12% of turnover is in France/Germany, so they are not geared to the underperformance of those markets. The core 'coding & maring' business looks solid- sell by dates/barcoding/prod The one blot on the landscape is the 'high ticket' commercial printing divison, but if business investment comes back as hoped then we could see some positive surprises here. IMHO, a great stock to play a recovery. | shuisky

24/6/2002 13:22 | nice buying today on low volumes, hence the move. any thoughts anyone? | sll
11/6/2002 20:16 | Just curious - Is there a reason for today's drop that is not generally known? | sll
02/6/2002 22:22 | ps - to clarify, 'presence' above should have read 'manufacturing presence'. | sll
01/6/2002 23:29 | Recent private research suggests that DNO may be a little neglected and undervalued. The Group's own financial PR looks a bit weak and I have reason to believe that this need is now being addressed by the Group. Sales growth in Asia and the recent establishment of a presence in Shanghai may not have been factored into the current price. Same applies to recent tactical acquisitions. There is presumably still a degree of concern about the impact of 9/11/01events on the first half of the year to 10/31/02. The forthcoming interims to 4/30/02 will be instructive in this regard. The only meaningful guidance from the company that I can spot (this year) suggests that trading is 'tough but broadly on track'. Does anyone have other views? If it is broadly 'on track' then the best could be yet to come over the medium term. Views? | sll
22/1/2002 10:23 | Price weakened defensively prior to results announcement last week. Now look at it go! There will always be some risk with tech companies, but this is a solid manufacturer with few global competitors, and half of revenues come from the inks which will be related to the installed base, so very predictable. Should go further. | punter99
20/1/2002 13:08 | Mail on Sunday today tipped as "A speculative recovery buy." | nelson.
13/9/2001 14:11 | 13th September 2001 DOMINO PRINTING SCIENCES PLC TRADING STATEMENT Trading in the USA in our second half year has remained depressed, particularly in the higher value products supplied by our Commercial Printing and Laser divisions. Sales levels of these divisions' products in the USA have been below our expectations and we do not expect a recovery from current levels in the balance of the year. The balance of our business in Asia, Europe and the Americas and our recent acquisitions have all continued to perform in line with our expectations. 25/7/2001 13:11 | Looks like some institution has been dablling with the stock today. | artful investor
18/7/2001 23:43 | Artful Domino may be more closely aligned with Xaar than is realised. Look at the RNS regarding the recent acquisition. Domino have bought a company that produces high resolution printers. Xaar make high resolution print heads. Good news for one may well mean good news for the other. | lostthelot
18/7/2001 09:09 | The market seems to have reacted well to Xaar's interim results. So hopefully Domino will come under more scrutiny in a positive fashion. Lets hope their results are as good as Xaar's. | artful investor

12/7/2001 07:47 | Domino Printing Sciences PLC 11 July 2001 DOMINO PRINTING SCIENCES PLC ACQUIRES ALPHA DOT Domino announces that it has acquired Alpha Dot Limited, a UK based supplier of products and services to the outer case coding market. Domino paid £3 million for Alpha Dot in cash and loan notes and agreed to make further payments of up to £1.75 million based on future sales of Alpha Dot products. Alpha Dot manufactures a wide range of coding and marking products including high resolution drop on demand printers, low cost valve jet printers which use water based inks and print and apply labelling equipment. Domino has recently launched the G7000 which is a high resolution drop on demand product for on line bar coding. The G7000 together with Alpha Dot's printers form a full complement of products and enable Domino to offer its customers a range of solutions for their outer case coding needs. Nigel Bond, Domino's Managing Director, commented that the acquisition represented a very significant step in enhancing Domino's position as a coding solutions provider and made the company a stronger player in the outer case coding market. | reetus

29/6/2001 09:29 | You may or may not be thrilled to hear that IC has given DNO a "high enough" rating today: "Domino has a strong positrion in Asia and the resources to expand further. For the moment, both the operating perfomance and the share price will be affected by events in the US, which accounts for almost a third of the group sales. High enough" | zzaxx99
28/6/2001 14:43 | Another two large Buys gone through. Probably linked to the 1m sale. | reetus
28/6/2001 12:52 | Some has sold over 1 million shares today at £1 and the price has gone up. I give up! | artful investor
27/6/2001 10:55 | Given the nature of the business (DNO and LPT) - coding and marking retail products - food beverages etc - these are likely to suffer some reduction in a general market downturn. However, significant revenues may be perceived in the advertising media sector which is taking a serious downturn . All IMHO. | jackrussel
27/6/2001 10:54 | There isn't much bouncing in this market, except investor's heads off walls! | artful investor |
