23/4/2009 13:08 | Yes, these people in these firms are great until you actually want them to do something. Posted form today, hope that doesn't get lost. | gerdmuller
23/4/2009 12:43 | fwiw Gerd, certainly don't move to HSBC. I've not heard anything from them in relation to these shares. Spent an hour on the phone yesterday with no reply and am still awaiting replies to emails sent last week. | alexbroadbent
23/4/2009 11:06 | 3offtheT, You are quite right, they cant. Got back to UK last night and saw the letter. Phoned barc and they said the email info I was given was wrong and the form should have been back by yesterday. After keeping me waiting on the phone for 15 minutes at my expense they finally said I had to fill in the form. They even said in my case because they had made a mistake they would accept the form after their deadline. I cant believe how geneerous these peple are. I will certainly be thinking of changing accounts but from what I hear on here they all seem clueless. No wonder the financial system is is in such a state. What would we do without these forums. Thanks for your help on this to all. | gerdmuller
22/4/2009 20:52 | well got reply from my broker, they are now awaiting forms from the reistrar, once received they will post out to me,for me to complete. brilliant, the other day they said they had completed them and sent them off. maybe i will get paid twice! | funchalman
22/4/2009 19:33 | Gerd I really dont see how Barclays can do this on your behalf. Firstly they need your passport number, but secondly there is a whole bunch of questions that need to be answered - and I don't see how they can do this. Finally it needs to be signed by the beneficial owner. I suggest you get back to them and ask how they can do these things without your personal involvement. H | 3offthet
22/4/2009 18:34 | if barclays have your passport number gerd then you are ok. | holts
22/4/2009 14:37 | Forms arrived from selftrade today. | littleweed
20/4/2009 18:00 | This is what Barclays are saying today after I asked about the tax form. A delay by the administrators has held up the payment for the Dmatek corporate action. We are now expecting the funds to be received on 1 May and hope to have this in your account within 5 working days of this date. I confirm we do not require you to complete any forms as we have all the information required. | gerdmuller
20/4/2009 16:25 | well i have emailed a copy of the capita reply to my broker, will see what they say now.what a rigmarole you have to go through to get your hands on money that is yours, whilst not so long ago banks couldnt throw money at you quick enough if you wanted to borrow it. | funchalman
20/4/2009 15:39 | my reply came from Idit Mor at dtk, if he dont know , no-one will, I think i'd chase it funchal otherwise the run around will ensue. | holts
19/4/2009 12:35 | september is what i THOUGHT 180 DAYS FROM END MARCH. | elmfield
19/4/2009 12:21 | I've received an email from DTK and have been informed that its actually better if you use the forms received by snail-mail from your broker, as these are personalised and coded. This will enable Capita (the paying agent) to process the payment far more efficiently. Cheers Eagle Eye | eagle eye
18/4/2009 20:56 | part of e mail from dtk: There is no tight deadline. The sooner the forms are submitted, the sooner your cheque will arrive... The Merger Consideration may be claimed from the Paying Agent until 26 September, 2009. Thereafter, the Merger Consideration can still be claimed directly from the company until 30 March, 2010. | holts
18/4/2009 16:14 | Hold shares with 2 brokers. Has anyone already asked Capita if on the declaration forms, I will have 2 to do, that the total of the two brokerage holdings should be put in the "I am the holder of ......... shares and" rather than the amount relating to each broker ? | hindsight
18/4/2009 12:53 | Letter from selftrade today detailing corporate action. Also says tax form will be posted shortly. Why it couldn't have been put in the same envelope is beyond me. | littleweed
17/4/2009 21:01 | It would have made more sense if our broker had emailed us out the forms rather than posting them. I have emailed Dmatek suggesting the forms could be posted on the Investor section of their website. Cheers Eagle Eye | eagle eye
17/4/2009 17:40 | Yes, it is a mess. Barclays did say that money should be here by today at the latest. I am beginning to wish I had sold in the market now. Crazy how Israel can try to claim 25 percent in this instance when in normal trading they would get nothing. Won't be investing in any other companies based there any time soon. Need to contact Barclays again on monday. | gerdmuller
17/4/2009 17:25 | yes its the registrar, capita in this case, who should have ensured that all brokers have easy to understand instructions on nominee accounts as regards this tax form.i tried to phone capita this morning to try and get a definitive answer.however i kept getting different phone numbers to call in their various departments.i gave up after 3 different numbers. as for the money.the more sticky fingers it has to pass through, the longer the wait, and i dont think we are going to see it any time soon. | funchalman
17/4/2009 16:40 | post 1145 : So if one person cant fill form in. Does that mean everybody within nominee accounts must pay the 25% tax. Thats how I would read it, hope there is no one on hols. | holts
17/4/2009 16:38 | all self trade people should find message in their in box now, forms being sent no suggestion of a deadline, all seems rather vague. | holts
17/4/2009 16:21 | Just received from idealing There was a merger between DMATEK LTD and a investor group led by FRANCISO PARTNERS. The terms of the merger are; For each share you held you will received 215p In order to receive the full entitlement of 215p per share you will have to complete the attached form and return to us. If you fail to complete the attached form you will be liable for 25% tax deduction under Israeli tax conditions. WE ARE CURRENTLY AWAITING CONFORMATION FROM THE REGISTRAR REGARDING TAKING UP PARTIAL ELECTIONS AS YOU HOLD YOUR SHARES WITHIN A POOLED HOLDING(nominee ac). IF WE DO NOT RECEIVE ALL FORMS BACK FROM THE BENEFICIAL OWNERS, WE BELIEVE WE WILL BE UNABLE TO RECEIVE THE GROSS PAYMENT. WE REQUIRE THE FORMS BACK BY THE 05/05/09. Please return the attached form So if one person cant fill form in. Does that mean everybody within nominee accounts must pay the 25% tax. | petoil
17/4/2009 12:15 | I have been pressing Selftrade to complete this business. I have had two replies--the most recent was Thursday of last week--saying the money would be in my account shortly. No talk of my needing to complete forms. However, no money yet. Their original forecast was that I would have money by 14th April. | jadeticl |
