Net cash and maybe a dividend,
not to mention a pe of 2.6 !
The normal market size is very small though.

The OFT review uncertainity can't be helping attract new investors but they are doing the right thing paying of debt.

At this rate the full year numbers will have net cash

I have been quite busy of late and missed the results yesterday.

They do to me appear to be very good, and we are now on a really silly pe ratio, and yet still very little reaction to such a low share price.

This is really a very unloved, probably unnoticed stock, which explains why the price is so cheap.

But given time there has to be a correction at some stage.

But then think of all those thousand of people who waste money phoning in to tv quiz programs at 65p per phone call with not a chance of winning, for the slightest chance of winning £1,000. Scratch cards are much the same, even the same as putting a pound on the lottery each week, or even £10 into a fruit machine. A lesson on how to waste money, but a lesson on how companies can make thousand of pounds, maybe just like DMP. So can DMP do well and reward shareholders? Didn't DMP give away a £1 million prize some time ago?

plast -
I am as sorry as you are about the status quo with DMP and lack of share price movement in the right direction cause it has always has had the signs of a good stock and investment.
The only thing one can say is that they are much better value now than they were 5 years ago.
Ask yourself the question has management ever let us down to date over performance?
I suspect after results - WHICH COULD BE NEXT MONDAY - the price will rise to 8p -9p again, only again to fall back on thin selling.

The share price to me defies the law of gravity!!
It should come good in the end - but then there are obviously no guarantees.

What we don't want however is a MBO, the shareholders then would be dead in the water - sold out on the cheap.

i hold these but can not seem to stop laughing, five years on and still no bloody good, see you in another 5 years if this is still around, which i doubt.
check the dates, lol.

Wheres Wally - 19 Dec'05 - 21:45 - 171 of 173

However it is still strong the trade today was a buy at 9.5p
and the bid price has moved up to 8.5p from 8.18p.
When buyers return this will move sharply up.

guru11 - 27 Dec'05 - 12:57 - 172 of 173

I can see DMP being 50% higher this time next year.
£2m in the bank and no debt, and a rising profit.
No jam tomorrow - it is here now.

guru11 - 2 Jan'06 - 11:21 - 173 of 173

Well Properous New Year to everyone.
I believe that those holding DM will be one step nearer to that this year,
with the share price due to end at 15p by year end at least.

Someone clearly a seller here.

I struggle to invest here because i really dont like the scratchcards, gaming and TV progs on gambling.

They play on the stupid, greedy and innocent (in varying combinations) and that doesnt sit well with me.

Probably don't like the scratch card business because it is like bookmakers, it is odds on that the bookmaker wins. However on the tv quiz programmes they have on ITV and Channel 5 I believe that their profits are huge. There are enough suckers out there class B to D Joe Public to make DMP a winner along with us shareholders. Class A Joe Public like ourselves believe that the odds on gettin rich quick does not lie in scratch cards, the lottery, or whatever.

The tv quiz programmes I believe were taking 400,000 calls per night, on the chance of Joe Public winning £1,000 or more at 65p a call - and many calls did not get even get through. So DMP should come true soon.

Trying to figure out why this is so lowly rated...'

The Chairman controls c 81% of the voting rights and this is probably the main reason

And I just checked, the first two, and I take it the first three are buys not sells, can't believe I got in at 6.6p

Certainly seems a cracking buy, and I bought this morning. Cant believe that the share price has not responded to such a strong set of results, combined with the resuction in borrowing. It won't be at this price for long in my opinion.

Trying to figure out why this is so lowly rated...

Debt seems to be falling rapidly and they are on a p/e of 3 or 4.

I dont like the scratchcard type business though and its holding me back from what looks like a cracking buy at the mo....

AA29 - It is par for the game that the share price will rise on results and sellers will come in and the price will again wain.

I do not want to see a MBO, as the company at its present rating is really far too cheap, and the only loosers will be shareholders. We all know what the DMP share price could well be in say 3 to 5 years time. The pe ratio is quite silly at present. The Chairman may feel he may not wish to take the company private, as he already owns the majority of the stock.

You're more optimistic than me, guru. Even if as seems likely results are good and increase the price to 8p/9p, I can just see more selling come in and take the price back down again.

I have the feeling that the company is reducing its debt from cash flow and then sometime in the next two years, it will resurrect the MBO which with AW's voting rights will be a done deal at whatever level.

Interim results due in 2 weeks time,
probably be announced on 13th September,
if not then on the 20th September.

Watch this space and the share price

Believe interims are next month, in 5 weeks time.

On results last time the price went up 2p only to fall after constant thin selling, but this time the fall has been worse.

They did give back a special dividend of 3.5p a while ago, which I reinvested in DMP.

One update a while ago said that sales of PDV were at record levels. I would have thought that DMP were on track to meet current targets.

The rise in eps has slowed, but the Company has got much bigger The company achieved constant good results, and I believe is well run with good directors.

One can only await the results and the update. The stock is probably off punters radar screen. Should one be buying at these levels maybe could be a good decision, as I am at a loss on my holding at present, but they represent outstanding value and promise.

guru, what is that EU legislation all about. any OFT implication uncertainty will never encourage buyers. based on a p/e of around 3 this appears to offer good value. on balance sheet the company run a small negative net asset value
due to the size of intangibles, however the take out time scale of the intangibles is also only 3 to 4 years based on the current net earnings position going forward, which is low.
it has always suprised me why there is such a lack of investor interest in such co's, i can only presume the lack of tangible asset base may be a reason
as TAL is another example.
Guru, when is the next update here plse

Thought that all divisions were firing on all cylinders at the last update.

The question is - is this just a blip in the share price - as the share price is definately going down on scared holders - and a low number of sellers - selling out. but there is not a mass selling fear at moment.

Like a snowball the more who sell out the more it will drop, but is the drop in share price warranted - maybe not.

The Company has an impressive 4 year track record.

I believe that the MM are trying to buy in stock on the cheap to sell at 2p more next month when the results come out.

quite unreal how the market is only paying 4.75 to sellers. problem is certainly liquidity. am gonna run the slide rule over the numbers here guru and post what i think. i am not a holder now but would look to get in at these levels.
