The important thing is not so much the number of bottles shifted but getting the brand in front of people. Each weatherspoon must have thousands passing through each week. Not just boozed up drinkers on a fri / sat night but families eating during the day too. It all helps on the way to making RedLeg a household name - and thus worth a fortune.

If its £15 a bottle trade price would add £150 000 a year to turnover

Ive just had a message from a mate who is a manager of a whetherspoons and redleg is down as a "must have item with new menu."

"Yeah. Redlegs become a must stock product on the new menu"

PIM cheers for the clarification - there is sufficient information being given now in releases to build a picture of what is going on. To release a statement to say results will be ahead of expectations you have to expect things are going well.

From open source searches you can see that demand remains strong. in the main outlets. added bonus today is that Wetherspoons are taking on Redleg Rum and that looks across the whole estate. That is like adding another Supermarket.

Great to have that in place for the Summer.

SUW agree -

2014 there was a news release that Redleg was in 100 Mitchel and Butler Pubs - I wonder whether this has been extended.

Would be interested on any reports people have of how the brand is being advertised, how visual it is within the Pubs

Very interesting that JDW are using the term 'Rum Shack' as well.

This is great news. Prior to this we have news release that results would be ahead of expectations.

Hopefully this year is profitable.

I'm glad to see them rolling out in more on-license places. It creates a virtuous circle of increasing sales.

People see the product in the supermarket and are more likely to buy it in the pubs /clubs.

trading update in 3-to-4 weeks if following last year. Therefore expect it to be included in that. Info is already in public domain.
