08/8/2016 09:16 | Added a few more today. getting on the shelves of Waitrose is major news imo. Surprised they haven't RNS'd it. | someuwin
08/8/2016 08:07 | Cheers Berny - all looking good here. | someuwin
08/8/2016 07:37 | Carry out a little more analysis using information available from companies house. Stripping out PLC costs the company made a £63K profit last year If you compare year on year using last year accounts. Turnover increased by £503K delivering an improvement of £193K in profit. That works out at a marginal profit margin of 38.36%. Therefore to breakeven at the plc level we could be looking at £98,000/0.3836 = £255,474 improvement in turnover or 21.85% improvement. In the accounts last year we were told sales increased 75% yoy 350% increase in Redleg 6% increase in Blackwoods Gin 100% increase in Blavod 18% decrease in Blackwoods Vodka Reviewing Blackwoods Gin figures this low level of return looks to be due to a decline in European figures ex UK as UK sales were +65%. It would be good for the company to do what has been done over the past two years with Redleg Rum for the Blackwoods Gin brand (i.e. have it stocked in Waitrose and Tesco whole UK) It is unclear what the growth in US sales will be for Blackwoods Gin and Blavod this year or Redleg Rum. There is a lot of opportunity for sales growth in all areas and limited requirement for the need to break even/ profit. This is just my breakfast table analysis and it may have assumptions and errors but looking forward to half year results to be able to continue to watch growth in the company and its potential. | berny3
07/8/2016 19:58 | Yup - saw RedLeg in Waitrose for the first time today! Introductory offer £17 instead of £20... | someuwin
02/8/2016 16:56 | Redleg looks to be in Waitrose: Pretty excited by this. UK main distribution is Blackwoods Gin and Redleg Rum - Sainsbury Redleg Rum - Tesco Redleg Rum - Waitrose Blackwoods Gin (both) and Redleg Rum - Amazon Following Twitter Blavod looks to be getting some traction US and Japan, discussions in Canada not sure if Blavod is available there. Australia has Redleg Rum and so does New Zealand and long with Blackwoods Gin New Zealand. Waitrose has 314 stores so a nice addition. Included other stores Circa 480 Tesco, 500 Sainsbury and 314 Waitrose. Two lines in Sainsbury gives total of 1,794 outets just at supermarkets. | berny3
27/7/2016 15:02 | 1st Qtr t/u 15 sept in 2014 and 2015, so presumably similar this year. Defo something to look forward to. pete | petersinthemarket
26/7/2016 10:06 | Only number 7 of the 10 best Gin's to buy and second against Tanqueray 10 on commentary. Room for improvement ;-) "Verdict Top of the tree for us is the Tanqueray 10, a sophisticated gin which is hard to beat in a martini. More accessibly priced is Blackwoods gin, which is sophisticated and punchy and nice with tonic." Nice bit of publicity in the Independent. | berny3
22/7/2016 15:02 | Pete, nice to hear from you. Something else I think is worthwhile noting are the conversations around Blavod in the US. I think it is looking like the spread of it is increasing, especially within the alternative music and arts field. It will be interesting what the take up is at Haloween and how long the tail after Halloween is. I am confident the US market for Blavod. Also any pick up in sales in Russia and the East would have a strong positive impact. Worth also noting the Redleg's popularity in Sainsbury is increasing along with Blackwoods Gin. | berny3

15/7/2016 08:37 | Great stuff, I need the pictures. Yours faithfully The spokesman. | deanowls
14/7/2016 20:16 | First of all, Ad Blockers shouldn't stop you viewing these images. They are standard HTML links to embedded pictures hosted on legitimate sites. I suspect it is the settings on your browser (try using Chrome?) On this board the recent images are irrelevant really, just marketing pics they post on Twitter. But as an enthusiastic DIS shareholder I do my bit to try and spread the word. However, on many of these boards I (and many others) use pictures to paste info from broker reports, investment mags, newspapers etc etc. IMO information is vital in this game and you may well be missing out on useful stuff. But its your choice - I will continue to post the pics! | someuwin
14/7/2016 19:54 | Are you the spokesman for this site now? I'm not knocking anyone who posts. I am pointing out that not everyone can see what has been posted. It's completely pointless. Huge numbers of people use blockers of one sort or another. On advfn it's absolutely essential to block out the myriad of irritating pop ups, pop unders and pop everywhere else's. I am absolutely sure that many others looking in today can also not see what has been posted, but prefer to say nothing. What would be wrong in simply making the relevant point in plain text. We don't all need pictures to explain things. best wishes to all holders, pete | petersinthemarket
14/7/2016 17:19 | Peter, it's your settings mate. I'm not having a pop it seems you are. You choose what you want coming through your browser, don't knock people for posting. | deanowls
14/7/2016 17:16 | Another pointless blank square | petersinthemarket
14/7/2016 16:12 | RedLeg Rum @RedLegRum · 7m Quite possibly the most important day of the week! #ThirstyThursday | someuwin
12/7/2016 20:51 | dean - my brain is a bit fuddled today due to the high pollen count here so i may have missed some of your subtlety. Were you taking a pop at me? pete | petersinthemarket |
