Discover flexible software

RealWire

2011-03-01

Discover Leisure plc, a premier outdoor leisure retailer specialising in the caravan and motorhome market, has maximised its resources and saved on installation time by adding rostrvm software to existing communications technology.

Discover required a dialler to automate and integrate outbound customer service calls, insurance renewals, and after sales follow-up.

Tim Ormrod, IT Manager at Discover, said, "We had already invested in VoIP technology to save money on telephone calls.

Rostrvm software is very flexible so we were able to integrate the dialler with our existing VoIP gateway and ViBE. ViBE delivers QOS, a significant increase in call throughput over existing bandwidth, Encryption, Line Bonding, Failover capabilities to ensure the calls stay in progress, and realtime stats on the underlying network in use."

Tim adds, "We also use a Virtual Private Network (VPN) on laptops, to connect to the Rostrvm dialler, to enable some of our employees to work from home - ensuring that we can provide an uninterrupted service at all times.

"We made considerable savings and it was all deployed very rapidly with Rostrvm.

As well as the Outbound dialler, we also benefit from the rostrvm CallDirectorACD inbound contact management system, which has allowed us to enhance our service offering to customers by improving the way that calls are dealt with and managed."

Now, customer calls from all regions are automatically routed into Discover's Head Office over VoIP and picked up and displayed on the Rostrvm system, where they can be handled appropriately.

Tim said, "Head Office can either take the call or divert it back out to the relevant person, which has improved our customer response times and the quality of our customer service.

In addition, the call is logged so we can see who called, at what time, for what department and maintain a record of everything that's going on.

All the information in rostrvm has been integrated with our back-end management system that holds all the details of our stock, customer data etc, to support faster customer service.

The ease of integration and the support that we have received has been excellent."

Yep a lot of people interested in this stock due to the deflated price. Hopefully we can get a sizable amount prior to it becoming more expensive.

Yes but there will be a sudden spike when that happens so if you value DISL at this level buy.

Doun't count on it. Every time the share price has gone above 1.5p in the last year it has provoked a large dose of selling. Until this overhang is cleared the price is going nowhere. There is no way of telling how long this will take.

Dolly the trick is to buy when the price is down and the MMs have loads, not when buyers have bought every share the MMs have. I have a pile bought at around 0.5p when the MMs had plenty.

From November.

LONDON (ShareCast) - Shares of aim listed caravan and motor home retailer Discover Leisure (LSE: DISL.L - news) vaulted 14% after it narrowed annual pre-tax losses and said the outlook for industry is improving.

Loss before tax reduced to £1.8m for the year ended 31 August 2010 from a loss of £16.7m a year earlier after significant restructuring in 2009. Revenue came in at a reduced £52.5m compared to £84.4m previously after it sold off several sites. Net (Berlin: NETK.BE - news) debt at 31 August 2010 fell by 20% from the year before.

The group saw a good performance in its tourer market and believes the outlook for industry for the whole is looking better.

Commenting on the results chairman David Morrow said, "Discover Leisure has made significant improvements in its first full reporting year following the restructuring in 2009. Our supplier relationships are strong and the group has reduced operational losses."

"An improved industry outlook, with the rate of decline in UK market for leisure vehicles slowing and turning positive in some sectors, for example the tourer market, bodes well for the group's continued recovery," he added.

yes - huge revenue and gross profit here. 52 and 7 million. Debt has been a drag but if you look at the news you wil see the new ceo has been selling the suplus property and getting the debt down quickly.
