14/10/2012 02:33 | Folk should be be buried in their garden, or under the house, even in the walls. It's environmentally friendly, saves on heating bills, and if we haven't been putting enough back into society, it would be a nice legacy to the nation. | n3tleylucas

27/9/2011 08:51 | Wylecoyote, if the banks go bust, and we cannot raise the cash to bury our dead, then i suspect that we all will have far more to worry about than our share portfolio's...... try Yorkshire Bank, NAB is not going bust, put your cash in there if your shaky about the others. Then you can bury your dead, and my divi stream continues..... | chri5 wright
26/9/2011 18:53 | Hello, yes I understand that a business needs debt, ie to expand, maintain cash flow, etc. It just seems rather large, more so in this environment. Chri5, those parameters that you mention are interesting though. Income or cash generation is never assured, even if people die all the time(oh deah the morbidness, ha ha). To give you a scenario, say the banks go bust, a relative of mine dies and I don't have the cash as the banks have frozen all accounts, etc. So the debt overhang will force the company to to go under and someone else comes along in the recovery. Having cash reserves is of the utmost importance, at least until the european bank crisis eases somewhat. | wylecoyote
26/9/2011 16:21 | as i said, cash generation assured. that said it spikes up and down, so i have sold a big chunk today at £8.48 still a holder though. ultimate stock is the word. Trading margin is 30%, ROCE 33% _ excellent company _ great business franchise. | chri5 wright
26/9/2011 11:32 | Interesting, Hyper Al, so you don't touch any company with borrowings? That means you rule out most companies on the market! The point is that DTY's income is virtually guaranteed, as people are dying all the time. The company business model is based around debt purely because it gets good terms due to the quality of its earnings, and it is able to give cash back to shareholders every few years. As for your last sentence, since when do lenders call in loans when the customer is able to pay the interest?? | eburne1960
26/9/2011 09:25 | cash generation, assured, in a world that needs cash | chri5 wright
21/9/2011 19:45 | There are two things certain in life, death and taxes. So I can possibly understand(to a certain extent) why the share price performance is on the way up. What I don't understand it is performing so well with such a large debt hanging over it... Can someone explain? | wylecoyote |
