07/3/2017 09:25 | Haha, Dgb running out of money isn't a material change, they're always running out of money. Companies don't say they need a placing in advance, you have go watch for signs. In this case, as likely as my needing a haircut every so often. | melton john
07/3/2017 08:27 | If there was a material change in prospects then the Co. would have announced to the market. Large overhang is probably why the price has been decimated price by 30% in the last month. This may have cleared now. £10m credit facility in place. So a placing is not warranted unless there is a BIG enterprise deal on the way for which balance sheet strength is required. I've been adding here. dyor. | aishah
06/3/2017 22:12 | News of a placing perhaps, have we got close to the placing price. Seems like someone knows what's going on. 30p? | melton john
06/3/2017 17:34 | Should at least see some holding changes announced. | melton john
06/3/2017 17:18 | Over 20m shares traded today including several multi-£m lots, and finished up. Most shown at mid price of 26p, but meaningless re buy/sell. No idea what's going on, but something is. No surprise if news tomomorrow. | hew
06/3/2017 11:45 | Melton, your financial (or emotional?) short view is not helped by your phrasing. Whatever money may have been spent, some in less than ideal ways (doubtless with hindsight), on technical or marketing endeavours, DGB have established a significant presence and capability. They may have been/are undercapitalised for their intended operational scale and perhaps that situation is now calling for further fund raising and dilution but, given that their products are now proven in a number of fields, the money spent has established value. We may well get something earlier, but in recent years there has been a Trading Update in April. | hew
04/3/2017 10:50 | Loans rank higher than equity if a company folds. They weren't willing to risk more shares with 60M quid down the toilet in 6 years. | melton john
03/3/2017 22:54 | Don,t currently hold but surprised at the latest thoughts about a possible placing considering this was announced in Oct 2016.: Digital Barriers plc (AIM: DGB, the "Group"), the specialist provider of visually intelligent solutions to the global surveillance, security and safety markets has agreed a two year £10m revolving credit facility with Investec Bank plc ("Investec"). The funds available through the facility will be used to meet the increasing working capital requirements of the Group's organic growth, helping to ensure that the Group's stock levels are better able to keep track with contracted revenue growth. | cottoner
03/3/2017 22:31 | 100,000 sell at 24p just after the bell on the NEX exchange. No I've never heard of it either. hxxp://www.nexexchan | melton john
03/3/2017 15:48 | Melton, fortunately no big sum involved for me. I hope and expect to increase it, but not until after the next trading/placing news and things are looking up. Indeed their "investment" to date has been considerable over 6 years, but I'm clinging to the belief that it has resulted in products that are uniquely capable and in large scale demand globally - and importantly, can be produced and supplied at good margins. "Saw You Coming"! A good line, but I'll pend my laughter for a while, if I may. | hew
03/3/2017 15:06 | Hew, I posted my thoughts 2 weeks ago but some people don't look back so I'll say again. They've got through £64M in six years so maybe their credibility of ever making money is in doubt and another fund raise is meeting with deaf ears. The directors however, pay themselves very well so if the worst happens and they go bust they could buy the IP from the liquidator for a song and start again under a different name. Given their line of business "Saw You Coming" might be appropriate. Just thinking, I'm sure they are all trustworthy, but I wouldn't buy until this knife stops falling. | melton john
03/3/2017 12:04 | Seeing the new low and the steady flow of small sells (might be only one or two sellers of course), am I the only one still holding and ignorant of whatever news! I suppose a placing is the probable reason, but why right down here with the deals announced and more of significant size supposedly on the way? Or has the rumoured possibility of involvement with "the wall" evaporated? Or something published somewhere? | hew
02/3/2017 09:01 | Yes, if they decide to think outside of the box this could be a great coup for Trumpy as it could be done a lot quicker & cheaper & he never said it had to be made of bricks did he, and obviously it would ignite DGB's share price. Interesting that the media are saying beneficieries would be cement & granite companies, that's not very radical is it? But hey ho, as a DGB shareholder I'm biased & that is a whole load of wishful thinking. We have no idea how close to the decision makers DGB salesforce may be, but I guess we wont have to wait long if they intend to short list this month. D. | aylingd
01/3/2017 18:36 | EdgeVis Shield got a mention on Fox News, in an article about Trumps wall.. www.foxnews.com/tech | bprofit
01/3/2017 17:51 | My experience is that in the tech sector, a credit facility awarded to a not yet profitable company is more often than not followed by equity issuance. The share price decline over the last few weeks, despite the favourable sector news/opportunities, and with no obvious instit overhang, also lead me to that expectation. On a more hopefull note, although one that raises the working capital question: | rambutan2
01/3/2017 15:04 | I googled "Terahertz security imaging" to see who else is in the game. A few other players it seems, maybe that's why DGB aren't making profits. Another option is they are paying themselves to much wages. Option 3 = both. | melton john
01/3/2017 14:57 | Re: placing - I hope not unless it is to fund some mega-order, never the less something is responsible for this continued decline despite positive noises & orders from the company. I was hoping the 10m credit facility would be enough to get them close to profitability. The company seems to have world-beating products but needs to convince share holders it can be profitable & not just generate revenue otherwise it will just be another jam tomorrow story. 01/3/2017 14:09 | I assume a placing is about to happen. | rambutan2

15/2/2017 14:47 | Homeland Security: America’s airports and the threat from within The US Homeland Security Committee has released a new report highlighting increasing concerns that insider threats to aviation security are on the rise. homeland-aviation-se Security is the buzzword at the moment in the aviation and airport networks and you can explore this further in our ‘Security Series’ International Airport Review ran at the end of 2016. In this article, we introduce a new report released by US Homeland Security that analyses the security threat to aviation in the United States. We also might want to consider how Donald Trump’s election might affect security in North America. 900,000 people work in the 450 airports under US federal supervision and control, and many are able to bypass traditional screening requirements that passengers must endure. As stated by Kevin Gramer, Vice President at Digital Barriers, in reaction to the report’s findings: “The US aviation system is interconnected, so it goes without saying that the US is only as secure as its least secure airport. As the report suggests, randomisation and unpredictability are key when selecting a people screening technology to defend against the insider threat, as they present less of an opportunity for malicious actors to “work around” them.” hxxps://www.internat | aishah

14/2/2017 09:29 | And i wonder how much they could make in the next 6 years now that the "investment" stage appears concluded. Thats the harder question! Thats the tricky bid looking forwards ! Backwards is easy! | escapetohome
13/2/2017 20:21 | Don't put yourself down, I'm sure anyone could lose £64M in six years. | melton john
