Strong analyst sentiment, I've come to highly respect Clive Black's opinion over the past few years.

Seems the market woke up as well Phil! Ticking up nicely this morning.

Another strong write up - Rising energy costs weren't addressed which I find interesting.

EI, maybe towards the end of march in the run up to those Greece elections in april, when it may all start to unravel again ?

phil I'm still hoping for some sort of market correction,
not looking like it's happening any time soon - famous last words.

I think they just have their targets and stick to them.

It was a fine set of results, a good positive statement and 300p will come with a little patience I`m sure.

Yeah, always begs the question; what exactly were the IIs looking for! Not all that phased tbh, the brokers seem confident (as do I). I can't see too much to hold the price at this level in the near future so I'll look to add tomorrow.

Nice job buying at 281p - good timing thus far!

EI, not as bad as buying GKP at 20p and selling at 65p - very very poor :-D

xandeebee,, well overdone today - I expect we`ll see some massive trades reported after the close , most probably an institution(s) cutting their stake after reaching that 300p first thing today.

Quite happy to have added at 281p earlier.

At the time I thought it was a half decent price, it looks ridiculous
now of course - always easy after the event and I did make a fair bit.
However not one of my better calls by any means.

Phil - that's a nice insight you have right there with Questor, thanks for sharing. Sell off looks a little overdone in my opinion. I'll hold out and see what happens tomorrow.

Backed these at flotation, around about 1992/3 from memory.

Sold a slug 2 years ago for what I thought was a half decent price,
would be worth 60K more now, hey ho.

Just had a reply from Questor.... he`s talking with Devro CEO this afternoon and there should be an update on the company in the Telegraph later this week (not tomorrow)

The only slightly negative broker post results has been Numis which has gone from 'buy' to 'hold' but kept it`s target price unchanged at 290p.

Good to see Investec and Peel Hunt raising their targets.

Just Soc Gen to look out for.

No problems at all with some consolidation after the recent good run.

I`ll drop Questor a line to see if he`s going to update on DVO

Amazing that the price has edged off a little this morning, I think I'll snap a few more if the opportunity presents itself :)

Sharecast preview:

LONDON (SHARECAST) - Profits from sausage skin maker Devro for 2011 will be served up as a smaller portion, with the group having disposed of its German distribution business, Devro GmbH, at the end of September.

Profit before tax is expected to dive to £41.1m from £55.2m in 2010, on sales down to £226.6m from £237.0m the year before, but the picture is distorted slightly by the Devro GmbH sale.

With the German business stripped out, Panmure Gordon is forecasting underlying revenue growth of 7.5% to £227.7m, driven principally by increased demand for collagen casings, and profit before tax to improve by 10% to £41.6m. The broker is forecasting a full year dividend of 7.7p, in line with consensus, and net debt of around £30m.

"We expect the growth trends reported for the first nine months to have continued for the remainder of the year, with good growth in Western and Eastern Europe, Russia and Latin America. Although volumes are likely to be lower in the UK and Australia, we have been encouraged by Cranswick's comments about the improved promotional activity in the UK since the start of the year. Additionally we'll be looking for an update on the progress being made by the company's Select product, in particular in Japan, where the company has reported an encouraging start," the broker said.
