21/10/2011 18:06 | Thanks for reply Dr Ben, tried rebooting it at 2.10 and was fine at US open. | hindsight
21/10/2011 12:02 | Hindsight: I experience similar but not sure if this is an ADVFN DDE issue or an Excel issue. Since I assume at 8am when LSE starts the US feed are dead because the really are, that is the NYSE etc are not feeding anything. With ADVFN acting as just a bridge for data is feeds nothing at 8am for US stock and Excel assumes the links are dead and does not create a 'DDE listener process' for those links. But when reboot later in day the feeds are not dead and so, Excel crease a listener. Alternative without reboot would be for Excel to listen to feeds with no data which strains the system for no net benefit. | drben
21/10/2011 11:40 | Only have 3 US prices feeding in at present on top of the UK. It didnt crash ie the UK kept going but the US didnt start at US open ie had to reboot dde and then they worked Edit - Yes it did the same yesterday | hindsight
21/10/2011 10:41 | Hi hindsight, If you've now added in a lot of US stocks to your DDE spreadsheet, you will get a sudden increase in the amount of data you're receiving at 2:30, but it shouldn't crash... Did this happen for you again yesterday? John | jgpgw
20/10/2011 09:42 | Had UK stocks DDE for a while and its pretty robust. However you have given me a trial of US and it seems I have to reboot DDE at 2.30 US open or its frozen Any fixes ? thanks | hindsight

08/2/2011 21:01 | There should be some interested parties in looking for a resolution. Perhaps a fresh issue of shares to raise the necessary cash. At 30 June 2010 the following shareholders had a beneficial interest of 3% or more of the Company's issued share capital: % of holding Standard Life Investments Limited 13.39 Develica Deutschland Management Limited 13.17 Jarvis Investment Management 7.84 Artemis Income Fund 6.52 Grant Tromans 5.02 Jim Mellon 4.15 Framlington Monthly Income Fund 4.00 Fortis (CI) Clients 3.59 Massala 3.47 | shawzie
08/2/2011 15:01 | It looks dire, but we've not finished yet. Yes it was a gamble and still is, they a trying to save shareholder value so they believe there is some. This consortium has pounced when a tenancy agreement has just been signed and simply want to srcew DDE for as much as possible, lets see what happens they may accept a cash compromise if it suits their purpose - anyone that thinks the game is up should take appropriate action. | aaainvestment
08/2/2011 13:38 | Doh... oh well... was always a gamble.. | drh3

07/2/2011 16:46 | Fortunately, I closed out on this investment at the end of July 2010. If we read the foregoing postings and company statements, it is clear that the warning signs have been around for a few years. | shawzie
24/1/2011 19:17 | Bought in today, one of two trades all day! Been looking at DDE for a while, and although I have effectively bought debt, I think it could work out to be good in the medium to long term provided the management can steer the course (they have been buying loads of shares over the last year) and keep the banks happy. fingers crossed! | drh3
01/12/2010 18:17 | Agree 3A but it's nevertheless disconcerting that the share price is so low when the German economy is doing so well, particularly with this company's position in retail outlets. However, sometimes small companies under the radar can be missed and offer exceptional opportunities. Let's hope DDE is one of them as you say? | warranty
