agree
they were below my expectations as well
i guess renishaw couldn't get board approval for a bid but still wanted to stop others
cash raised elliminates debt which should help on the interest charges
gives a good stop/loss for now anyway
probably could go higher still as they could still potentially get board approval for a bid

Results were a little dissappointing I thought and appeared to be a bit below expectations. Renishaw investment is good news though.

My attention was drawn to this by Lord Lee and I bought a few. However an investment of £6m by renishaw at less than 5% discount to market is simply fantastic. I bought some more this am . There are very few shares available and this could simply fly.

Worth remembering that as R&D expenses (a slightly discretionary category of expenditure) totals £6m or £7m as compared to PBT of ~£2m, there is quite a bit of scope to cut (or capitalise) R&D by just a little bit in years that might be tough for trading. This ability to cut (or capitalise) R&D by just a little bit that might be material to PBT suggests we can be more confident that forecasts can be hit.

DELCAM PLC

("Delcam" or "the Company")

Record sales in December 2006

Delcam, the UK's leading supplier of CAD/CAM software solutions to manufacturers
worldwide, reports that it achieved record monthly sales in December 2006. Total
sales for December were #2.85 million, an increase of almost 11% on December
2005. Traditionally, sales are seasonally biased towards the second half of the
year, especially towards the final quarter of the year.

In addition to good sales of Delcam's established software, sales of the
PartMaker software products, which were acquired in July 2006, have also
performed well. Sales of the FeatureCAM product range, acquired in March 2005,
also continue to build as an increasing number of Delcam resellers worldwide
begin to offer these products.

The board expect the profit for the year to be materially in line with market
expectations.

Managing Director, Hugh Humphreys, commented,

"December has historically been Delcam's strongest month for software sales. Our
established range of software has continued to experience encouraging sales
growth, together with unusually high maintenance revenue from these products. I
am also delighted that the progress of our newer product ranges, FeatureCAM and
PartMaker, has been reflected in increasing sales."

Afternoon Gentlemen

Just thought I would see if there is any interest out there in Delcam? Just bought a few as I thought it looked like an interesting counter. The most I could grab was 2250 shares online.

Hoping we might get some good publicity soon ;-)
