Defenx PLC (DFX) has issued its year end trading statement today, which highlights strong double-digit organic revenue growth during H2-16, plus a sharp bounce-back in operating profit. Cash collection remains an issue, but the implementation of debt factoring will alleviate this going forward. Trading on only 2.4x FY-17 EV/EBITDA this business is undervalued. A multiple of 4.0x is more appropriate we believe, giving us our target price of 170p. Buy.

Thanks wordog. Let's wait and see the numbers but the fact they don't mention it suggests they're still bleeding cash.

Here you go WJCC....

Cash collection
○ Typical collection terms 90-120 days, but minimal bad debt history
○ Plans agreed with channel partners improving average debtor days

From 4.5mil (2015) to 7.3mil (2016 year end) so still 3 months more revenue to come from the FY.

Presumably the 57% increase in revenue is year end 31 Dec 16 & 17.

Market Cap was about the same this time last year so you would assume this is undervalued. However, it will be interesting to see the cash flow and if they are getting on top of the trade receivables.

Firtashia - Worth also looking at the amount of shares in the hands of the CEO and CFO, which is encouraging. Also the Non-Exec Tony Reeves who is Chairman of Cloudtag, which 6x bagged in 2016.

WJCCGHCC - Trade receivables have always been high for this company and is a personal concern for me. Having quizzed PP on this in the past he said it is the nature of business when the majority of your market is in the developing nations. Even in Italy you have twice as long to clear invoices than in the UK.

The problem is the profit bears no resemblance to the cashflow. Large increases in receivables and capitalisation of software development reminds me of certain Chinese software companies.

Revenue of €7.3m was a tad ahead of WH Ireland's expectations of €7.1m.
PTP was forecast to be €1.4m with diluted EPS of €0.16c (€1 = 86p thats about 13.7p).
With the Investor Event this evening plus the Shares/Cenkos event next week, there is plenty of opportunity to meet management.

Thinking about taking a position here as I like the numbers but I notice the name of Leonard Seelig as a major shareholder. Can anyone give me a case for ignoring the atrocious performance of APC under his tutelage and so convince me to invest my hard earned cash here?

Excellent RNS, as expected.

Highlights

• Financial results for FY16 in line with management's expectations

• Revenues for FY16 of approximately €7.3 million representing 57% year-on-year organic growth

• Acquisition of Memopal Srl ("Memopal"), a cloud backup and synchronisation business, completed

• €1.5 million placing and subscription completed to support accelerated investment in new software

"The second half revenue brings the full year into profitability, resulting in an increase in full year operating margins as compared with 2015."

"In addition to the eight new channel partners signed during 2016, Defenx is pleased to announce that its Mobile Security Suite is now available on the Café Bazaar Playstore, an Iranian Android App marketplace."

I think the Iranian market is very astute and should allow us better movement thatn more competitive and open markets.

Not forgetting the 75,000 unit pre order for the Parental Control software which is yet to be completed!

Great time to be in, cash in bank, new products on the horizon, profitable, wider distribution and more to come from Memopal i think.

Let's see what extra detail comes out of the investor presentation tonight.

I'm fairly certain we will see a strong update on Monday, not quite sure why they would be pushing an investor event so hard if it was to bring bad news.

Target still 120p, let's wait and see...
