What is going on with the share price - canmnot see any logical reason for this "lemming like" fall. The company has sound prospects, the balance sheet looks healthy & they are in the middle of an ongoing expansion programme with an increased client base which also includes commercial IVAs.This should be a recipe for success.

Now a 6.2% spread here - is the spread usually this big for this sp? Note the bid has been dropped but the offer remains steady.

wierd, maybe all part of their top secret new business expansion plan, unfortunately they haven't communicated it to anyone.

I think their investor relations are appalling but do see some upside.

Just joined you guys as a holder of DETS. The other fact I like about DETS is that it has 4 playing brokers - reduces chance of share price manipulation between a couple of them - I've experienced that before.

Spotted DETS in The Sunday Times article above which indicates it to be one of the futures giants.

That was basically it. Was mentioned among 6 or 7 companies that looks a good bet.

Looks interesting...
A small mention in todays Mail on Sunday. Lists several companies with rising profits and tips DETS as a good bet. On my watch-list

This company should start to reap the rewards after Christmas with institutionalized shoppers loading up their cards, sooner or later the piper has to be paid. The interest rate rises of late will tip many over the precipice & an IVA is a more attractive proposition than re-possession.

Bank chief King says families risk losing everything to debt
30.11.06

A strong warning that people are running up "desperate" levels of personal debt has been sounded by the governor of the Bank of England.

Mervyn King said the speed with which some families were amassing unsecured liabilities such as credit card bills was putting them at risk of losing everything.

"The real problems in indebtedness are not in the mortgage market but in the unsecured debt market where a number of people have got themselves into desperate trouble. For them, and their families, that's a serious problem."

Mr King said the phenomenon was a threat to the families concerned rather than the national economy at present. "There are not enough of them and they are not rich enough to mean that this is likely to have a significant impact on total household spending."

EOC - I don't expect the company will comment on the share price as they have no control on whether it goes up or down.

Has DETS become one of those that has been cited by DFD to the Advertising Complaints board? Judging by the state of this SP, something is amiss. Still hanging in because even if it does go pearshaped, somebody will snap it up.Im expecting some comment from the company on this share price though.

I think we need to be patient here Blindfaith2 ... DETS is still a relative newcomer to the sector in comparison to the other two mentioned, so naturally there is a lot more activity in the other two generally, but I have no doubts that this one will follow suit in the not too distant future! Some interesting media articles have surfaced today with regards to interest rates, debts and the possibility of tumbling house prices (negative equity?), so I think perhaps all the companies in this sector may be back in favour sooner rather than later!

2111, Must admit that I also thought that DETS would latch on to DEBT's good news and show some improvement just as DFD is doing but so far a distinct lack of action
