The good news is if someone is prepared to buy this co when its fundamentals are poorer than EKT then at some stage i'm looking for a massive upsurge in EKT.

So its good news really.

Well that was a surprise wasnt it. Someone evidently got wind of it...the thing is with this one now is they have a lot of goodwill so its difficult to ascertain a value on the company.

DELTRON ELECTRONICS PLC ("DELTRON" OR THE "COMPANY")

The Board of Deltron notes the recent movement in its share price and confirms
that it is in discussions with a third party which may or may not lead to a
recommended offer being made for the whole of the issued and to be issued share
capital of the Company. There can be no certainty that agreement will be reached
and an offer made.

In accordance with Rule 2.10 of the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers, the
Company confirms that it has 41,408,194 ordinary shares of 5 pence each in issue
and admitted to trading on the London Stock Exchange under the UK ISIN code
GB0002618410.

A further announcement will be made as appropriate.

Dealing Disclosure Requirements

Under the provisions of Rule 8.3 of the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers (the
"City Code"), any person who, alone or acting together with any other person(s)
pursuant to an agreement or understanding (whether formal or informal) to
acquire or control relevant securities of Deltron, owns or controls, or becomes
the owner or controller, directly or indirectly, of one per cent. or more of any
class of securities of Deltron is required to disclose, by not later than 12.00
noon (London time) on the London business day following the date of the relevant
transaction, dealings in such securities of that company (or in any option in
respect of, or derivative referenced to, any such securities) during the period
to the date on which the offer becomes or is declared unconditional as to
acceptances or lapses or is otherwise withdrawn.

Under the provisions of Rule 8.1 of the City Code, all dealings in relevant
securities of Deltron by the offeror or the offeree company, or by any of their
respective "associates" (within the meaning of the City Code) must also be
disclosed.

Coming back down again..the mms tried it on!!!

Mark my word slj i know how mms work.

They get stuck with stock and try to off load at a higher price and punters dive in thinking the share price is going balistic!!!

A similar thing happened to AFC yesterday and was reported in the papers overhang cleared but what they meant was a big seller out there!!!

It happened with AFC yesterday there were some hefty chunks sold and the mms hiked the price up.

There were 2 big sells yesterday 125,000 and 250,000 !

Market makers attemting to rig the market and make double the profit!!!

Deltron is looking grim now...they warned not long ago.

As for Elektron they came out with record profits yet again and curren sales up as well. With a far lower market cap for Elektron with no debt its clear which is the better play.

Elektron came out with their results today and record profits.

EKT has net cash not like DET.

Ekt outperformed deltron and the gap widening.

However the 2 year trend is very good. Massively outperformed Deltron...
