|According to the Sunday Times there is now a third ptential bidder:
|It's about time the header was changed. Been a long time since we were at £5.00|
|And back up today.
Yes, this is one of the quietest boards for a company of this size.
I have observed with similar companies that the introduction of SETSmm has caused the shayre price to be much more volatile, and can sometimes be manipulated by people entering very small traydes (although not with DVR today).
(Sorry about the y added but it is to stop annoying ads).|
|Big drop today but obviously no one is interested.|
|Well after that news we can expect a big fall back today.|
So, the RNS begs the question....what price are they after
Various press this a.m. say they rejected ..."750p as way too low due to net assests worth 786p alone"|
|Permira?, I guess??|
I'm having diff getting an order(s) filled, yet Level 2 implies I should not be having a prob|
|A very nice tick up of 75p today and no-one is on the bb? What does it take or is no-one interested?|

|Is the rumour train going again? Nice tick up today.|
|Think they'll soon have to put out a "has noted recent press comment". FT today:-
"DE VERE is believed to have had two informal expressions of interest from private equity firms interested in acquiring the hotels and leisure group currently valued at slightly more than 460 mln stg"

|Analysts said rumours of the disposals might have been behind speculation that Whitbread could bid for De Vere. The rumour had pushed De Vere's shares to a five-and-a-half-year high.
|Up 10p today on news to sell 4 hotels... if they achieve more than 40m book value, could boost price further (and vice versa). GPG ticked up again.
LONDON (AFX) - De Vere Group PLC said it is to sell four hotels: the De Vere
Bellhouse, De Vere Dormy and two early Village Hotels at Swindon and Prestwich
which no longer fit the brand profile.
The decision to commence the sales process for these four sites follows an
initial review of the hotels portfolio conducted over the past three months with the aim of driving improved returns across the Group.
The four hotels have a book value of about 40 mln stg.|
|I'm a GPG shareholder rather than a De Vere shareholder... I was just reading a little more about De Vere. Their web site is informative. They published a 47-page presentation on 3-December which provides good data.
