Nothing whatsoever like TWL.
Historically DSY has disappointed and forex rubbed salt in wounds.
DSY is well established and interesting balance with own making and brand representation. The area of business is well known and no lack of demand.
Well motivated & very experienced board & blue chip debtors.
The statement for once is not defensive and I think if anything is restrained. The numbers and portfoloio of products speak for themselves.
DSY listed on ofex originally at 10 million and this morning m/c was under 500k. Sales are 7.4 million for the 12 months, growing and now with a profit.
Indications are for a continuation of the progress made and if the next three months figures follow the pattern then has to be target for bigger group or maker or MBO if frustration with price.
Pleased to see costs down as well as sales up.

No surprises either way in results.all built in price anyway.over react like many others today?
The deal with Schulke looks interesting - they are very big and impressive on the web information I have seen - i see they have Uk office in Sheffield, DSY in Rotheram - not far away. Is it asking too much to see a bid from Schulke - looks piles of synergy? Multiple of sales not profits please!
Any sign of profits next time will do wonders for the price any way.

I was conned by CEL also and and I paid almost 3 times the current share price for Dawmed,Still DSY has not gone bust which is more than can be said for much of the rubbish I was suckered into.I have learned my lesson-I hope!

Jawat, I can only guess. Perhaps someone has put in a substantial buy order. If I am right, the price will drop back down again once some sellers have been flushed out. My hope is that it is the new FD trying to buy some shares as this would be a nice confirmation that DSY is on track.

Gelp, It is interesting that stock is so hard to come by. A few weeks ago there was a lot around.

I believe that DSY is so cheap simply because nobody knows about it let alone understands it. Hence there are no buyers.

The company's change of emphasis from large machines to desktop ones over the last couple of years has been very successful. All of the change over has been achieved without creating any debt. Now, hopefully, they are at the beginning of a period of good growth in sales and profit.

We will know a bit more when they publish the delayed results from last year next week.

Opened at 8 & Was quoted 10p, yes 10p to buy above 20k today & 8.5 on 10k. bid has moved up to 7.5 closing the spread for the time being.Stock seems very tightly held again.
I wonder what the status of the bad debt really is.
Surely any movement back to profits will have a highly positive effect & collection of all or part of the debt will contribute. If not provision already made. In the overall context the bad debt is not significant.
I personally believe the return to profit is probable rather than possible deduced from the public information & would add if I could at least whilst the price is still in single figures.
Sure Robbie the chart is horrific - if one was in at the top end. I have been looking at DSY bad news hitting on a bad news day any way & whilst bottom fishing is risky, if one believes that the Directors (who are main holdrs) can make a modest profit on 6 million or so of sales - & thats not rocket science -and can grow the range and sales profitably then at 1.5 million as a tight listed operation the business is cheap. If profits are elusive and price falls then the owners are bound to consider ways to enhance shareholder value. Any buyer will consider the incremental profit of taking in the product range without the costs.Pretty substantial. As I say they should be able to turn around especially if collect bad debt! imo, dyor etc etc

Gelp, I think ridiculously cheap. Given what the company have said that they are confident about prospects for the current year, it would seem that the results next month will be reasonable. Also, 2007 should be a particularly good year for the company with new European regs coming in. Further, the appointment of a full time FD must show things are going pretty well. I have bought a few shares in recent weeks, but someone else has been selling. Perhaps, as you say, they have been spooked by the bad debt.

I agree that DSY would be attractive to others. However, with 2 founding directors having substantial stakes, I would not expect anything to happen until the share price has recovered substantially from these levels.

Dell, thanks I have had a look at the iii board and this does solve the mystery. It's rather sad that anyone should choose a stock such as DSY to try a 'pump and dump' - there is an overhang which is probably a lot bigger than the total turnover of the last few days.

mjcrockett & Devbod - If you read the iii DSY bulletin boards, you will see that a regular team of pump'n'dumpers tried to hit this, yesterday.

However, it looks like there was possibly too much stock around for them to get the share price moving enough to pull in momentum traders, so they appear to be moving on to pastures new.......

All IMHO, DYOR etc.

From the number of trades today, it looks as if DSY has been tipped somewhere. Anyone seen anything? Perhaps there's a new brokers note out.

I went along to the AGM earlier this month. I came away feeling more comfortable with my DSY shares. The directors seem fairly confident of their future with a reshaped business. Although, I do not think that the new products will have much impact on the interims to 31/3/06.
