26/1/2006 11:42 | OFF TOPIC: Anyone had dealing with Cornhill Asset Management or know whether they are bonafide? | investorjon
26/1/2006 08:34 | gtr: Hang in there, a share is only makes a profit or a loss when its sold. At present its still a long term investment worth holding (IMHO) | investorjon
25/1/2006 20:49 | gtr - Excellent post! Is gibberish your first language? | michaelmouse
25/1/2006 16:44 | Something is always going on behind the scenes, but I never actully matters....cause everyone make money from it but is retail investors! | gtr
25/1/2006 16:27 | Out of interest this wide spread hides the reality of the share price About a week ago you could buy 100000 shares or so for 0.75 but now it costs you 0.8. That said, you can't get more than about 0.7 to sell. Something is going on behind the scenes - any thoughts. F4 | phantomf4
25/1/2006 09:26 | Gartmore is up for sale, so we could see something fly soon. | investorjon
24/1/2006 16:10 | Goggin. Accepted the profile has come under scrutiny, but that's when you get the bargains. The profile lags changes in a company and involvement too. CH's involvement is less, with some new blood, and some really good acquisitions. A bull market has nothing to do with the profitability of a company though...it's often due to a surplus of money with nowhere for it go go, as property is too hot, interest rates not that great, leaving shares. What it also means is that a share like DTC can go from zero to hero in a matter of days. I thought like you, posted like you, and I can see why you post, but I don't think it recognises the amount of change that DTC has undergone, or the influence of DE and the addition to the Board and the company of some new blood, and where because we are all programmed with the 'jam tomorrow' that this share has always been sold under, its difficult to believe that this time it may actually produce. I do feel, however that the company has been held back by CH and some of the situations engineered, and the constant jam tomorrow that never materialised and although there was a time when DTC would have dropped like a stone if he went, I think the opposite is true now, as I think he has a very poor credibility rating with the City. Still who would have thought I would get 1m Sanctuary for 12K. | investorjon
24/1/2006 13:50 | This has been a DOG for far too long, despite all the positive vibes and reasonable news flow, nothing much has happened. Abba the movie is going down a storm which should all benefit DTC, however, too many shares in issue and a low profile means that the dog will lie untill we get some real fire in the belly. Time for a wake up call to the management, if they cant achieve success in a roaring bull market since march 03, when will they wake up and get it right? | goggin
24/1/2006 11:21 | Still look at this way Sanctuary's share price has dropped to 1.2p (muggins here has bought some). So we could find Beyonce on our books, and Sir Elton John before long! | investorjon
23/1/2006 18:36 | The State of Global Digital Music Market: The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) has come out with a very detailed report on the state of the digital and mobile music industry and 2005 figures. Too detailed to summarize | garysmith7
23/1/2006 08:54 | Gary: I don't think it's just Midas, either. There were several productions that DTC already had in the pipeline that CH said were being held over for the DVD subsidiary....they must be hitting the streets soon, along with revenues from the acquisitions, and where you would imagine some nice little earners in the pipeline after the Sweeney Todd program, which must act as the best inducement for high quality productions from multiple sources, wishing to use an acclaimed company. The profile of DTC was in my opinion raised highly, as although I know we had already won prestigious awards, they were not quite as mainstream or as polished as Sweeney Todd....a cut above the rest (sorry for the pun)! | investorjon
22/1/2006 17:58 | There is also a good chance that they make some significant deals at Midem and issue a trading update. | garysmith7
22/1/2006 17:20 | Last year DTC released their interims at the beginning of Feb, perhaps we will get an update within the next couple of weeks? Regards F4 | phantomf4
22/1/2006 15:14 | we are all waiting for the share price to move up. I suspect death of me may come first though? John | johnmp
20/1/2006 14:18 | Seems everyone has moved to: | folderboy
20/1/2006 13:46 | very quiet here ..... where is everyone ? | vanhalen
17/1/2006 23:30 | IJ, I think anything at .75p is a buy. So today there would be a lot more buys than sells. | garysmith7
17/1/2006 22:57 | I was quoted buy at .85p Barclays and HL?Barclays price then quoted .83p and sell .65p. Mind you it wasn't as a deal and I've noticed it changes quite considerably on occasions Anyone monitor the trades today, seemed a lot of sales, but little drift. | investorjon
17/1/2006 20:43 | ooopps yes missed a zero... | garysmith7
17/1/2006 20:42 | the real spread is 0.05 | ursamajorra
17/1/2006 20:33 | Brits show appetite for mobile TV I would imagine among the most popular content for mobile TV would be Music video which fits nicely with NBDTV | garysmith7
17/1/2006 20:16 | IJ The real spread is 0.5 (0.7-0.75)so not too bad for an aim stock, its the market makers published spread that looks bad. Our friend MJ still making news today. Jackson accused of animal cruelty | garysmith7
16/1/2006 13:02 | john: LOL! The spread on DTC still puts punters off at the moment (well it does me). Apart from which I bought a few (well perhaps not so few), in o&g company mentioned previously which Might Realise Profit. | investorjon
16/1/2006 12:14 | Thanks for WPM link Initkin. | jabberstocky |
