How about you doing us a favour and FO on holiday.

Or £500 to charity that it does not fall to 500p?

From The Times today: ""While he [Thomas Cook CEO] refused to name names, industry-watchers pointed to the rapid expansion of Jet2, part of the quoted Dart Group, as a factor after its addition last year of lights from London Stansted and Birmingham airports".
So TC's problems are an indicator of Jet2's success; another buying opportunity? The EU/Brexit fears are just media hot air. There's no way that the EU and particularly Spain is going to ruin its tourist industry. It's just a matter of paperwork.

This is the reason tcg are in trouble. Our 25% of market share has come from someone.

As for flights from the UK to the EU being stopped remember what we spend

33 billion a year in the EU.
They are not going to stop that.
Now EU to EU maybe different. EZY bases are a different issue.

We are off a little on the TCG news but I expect us the EXCEED the new forecasts .
The first half has just been a record with over 200m made.

As ever DYOR I am a holder.

If the EU do try to be difficult it is likely to hurt them just as much. Can Germany afford to keep supplying the money train?

What about the possibility of the EU imposing reduction sanctions allowing European aviation firms to take more control.

Don't worry. I'm pretty sure we'll blink. No politician will want to be at the helm with food shortages due to queues at Dover and the consequences that could have, whatever you think about Brexit.

Submarine May is no poker player.

Is it possible that the EU pull up the draw bridge on aviation? Would they ever conceivably do this? I’ve read arguments online but does anyone have something concrete enough that suggests the fall today is complete bullsh!t?

I think if the EU decides to do play cat and mouse in the eventuality of a no Deal Brexit of course the UK could retaliate and block something in return or hike huge trade tariffs for example but even in this scenario we could experience a period of uncertainty and are there other factors that could reasonably come into play? I am a very long term holder and so I’m not fussed if we see considerable turbulence over the next few years but I’m also struggling to think through the possible outcomes of this EU/UK exchange and would invite a reasonable discussion on this bulletin as I suspect we’re not affecting the share price here....?

Those without a position, would be tempted to start buying now and accumulate if it falls further...couple more months before a trading update which is expected to be positive with possible caveats on brexit.. But should start to see the start of clarity on landing rights by then, does anyone think that planes full of tourist pounds will be grounded?

I’m sure people will cut back on holiday spending. What jet2 offers is the certainty of a fixed price package product. People love it. Just look at jet2’s repeat bookings year on year plus they easily beat TCG to no 2 biggest tour operator in uk. Will challenge TUI in a few years.

Personally I would wait for short term price weakness (Brexit/ oil/ Drag from Ryan/TCG) before buying in. ??? <£8.50-£9.

This aim share will get hammered. Take your bets.
