15/8/2018 09:55 | Guess there is no chance for a change to main board, due to inheritance tax laws. Fair point on the lack of visibility on the AIM. | snorkelparker
15/8/2018 09:45 | just looked at jet2 hols on costa del sol next month. amazing value. they must have struck great deals with hotels | shaker44
15/8/2018 09:40 | I think not being on the main market and the simple fact nobody understands this. Tiger | castleford tiger
15/8/2018 09:34 | Not wrong there.. There was an article in the Times a few months ago same thing.. Poor journalism no excuse for not researching your facts. | snorkelparker
15/8/2018 07:55 | I've read lots of broker research on TCG and Tui and DTG is a side mention. Not sure many journalists or analysts quite get what Jet2 are up to; crushing TCG and chasing RYA's 20% operating margins at Stanstead and disrupting its business model of treating staff and customers poorly. Offering lower prices, paying staff more and exceeding customer expectations means lower margins all round but earnings growth for DTG and not RYA. | woozle1
14/8/2018 22:57 | the author stayed with cook, tui. maybe jet2 didnt offer a comp. hol!! | shaker44
14/8/2018 22:38 | Just read the article. Considering Jet2 is number 2 in the UK, seems pretty lousy reporting to only mention them once in relation to winter packages.. Someone isn't doing their homework.. But still it's refreshing to see package tours getting coverage.. Does anyone have any inkling how winter bookings are going? | snorkelparker
14/8/2018 22:12 | v interesting Guardian article featuring Cook and Tui, and mentions Jet2. describes surprising resurgence in package holidays across most age groups and gives an overall strong thumbs up. hopefully other media will run this too. b good for dtg. | shaker44
14/8/2018 18:18 | flight radar is the best if you are into aviation. Minky Who said they were "bad" operators? regards Tiger | castleford tiger
14/8/2018 12:11 | Express: Jet2 passengers thought 'they were going to die' after cabin pressure failure mid-flight. eg | shaker44
14/8/2018 12:08 | only what google personalizes to my newsfeed. it evolves depending on stories They send from which I select those of interest. | shaker44
14/8/2018 11:44 | What news feed is that shaker? | meijiman
14/8/2018 10:32 | There is always bad press at this time of year as the airlines are operating at full capacity. The removal from service of a 757 (and 738) has daily knock on effects with people being bumped daily as the 733s are quite a bit smaller (219 vs 138? seats.) Additional costs of hotels, compensation and taxis/coaches are involved - Also loss of goodwill. On a plus point - While Spain isn't as busy this year as it should be - Turkey etc. should be booming due to a big push to increase tourism and currency pressures. My position is I sold out after the trading update (doh!) and waiting to get back in at a drop. I'm still positive. | wilddcw
14/8/2018 10:24 | agreed. my news feed seems to have daily air emergenicies, whether ba, eayjet or ryan etc. dont think analysts will blink unless the same operator has a run of emergencies | shaker44
14/8/2018 10:03 | Dart is not alone in having occasional technical problems with their aircraft but that does not make them bad operators. On the whole they have a very good reputation. | minky
14/8/2018 09:59 | to go to a base with no ground team is VERY unusual I am a little concerned about FX rates falling ( as predicted) if it happens. It could have a bad effect. Clearly short term and would affect others more but we need to be aware. The TITAN 757 we brought in had another incident of Friday on the FAO/LBA route. Not good press again. It was flown back at sub 10,000 feet to STN on Sunday after a rescue flight was sent. I know because I spoke to someone on it. Not pleasant. Tiger | castleford tiger
13/8/2018 16:45 | probably a breakdown or something to divert to other airport | ccraig69
13/8/2018 15:48 | They don't according to the Jet2 website! | pawpawman
12/8/2018 15:16 | Didn't realise Jet2 flew from Luton? | doogle99
12/8/2018 14:13 | Saw my cousin last night. He booked a flight with Jet2.com from Stanstead that was cancelled and moved to Luton. In recompense, Jet2 sent a car to take the family to Luton and when they got back from hols, the compensation cheque was waiting for them. They were blown away. The driver who took them to Luton also said that customers rave about Jet2. With this level of customer service, no wonder TCG are being decimated and that they are taking shares from RYA. Exceeding customers' expectations is one of the drivers behind Amazon. w1 | woozle1
10/8/2018 17:35 | Hope Pander and Maestro have the vaz ready. TCG are getting hammered by Jet2; RYA also hurting at Stanstead now Jet2 are coming their 20% op margins; Tui is a different business. | woozle1
10/8/2018 16:46 | This is overvalued. External economic pressures will impact here soon imho. Other operators taking hits. | pander45
10/8/2018 15:44 | 750p first support. Enjoy the ride down. | mr maestro
