            Daily Mail and General Trust plc (DMGT or the Company) 
 
                      Directorate Change CFO Resignation 
 
DMGT announces that Stephen Daintith, CFO of the Company, has resigned to take 
up the role of CFO at Rolls-Royce Holdings plc in due course. 
 
Stephen will continue to provide support to DMGT as CFO pending the appointment 
of his replacement.  The Board has commenced the process to identify 
appropriate candidates. 
 
Stephen joined the Company as CFO on 1 January 2011 and was appointed to the 
Board as an Executive Director on 28 March 2011.   The date of his departure 
from the Company will be the subject of a separate announcement. 
 
Lord Rothermere said:

DMGT over the last five years and we warmly wish him every success in his next
