13/5/2006 10:55 | From yesterday's press: "..IT COULD be a lively reshuffle when the FTSE 100 is rejigged next month. Nothing changed last time, but as share prices stand no fewer than four blue chips will be chucked out and four mid-cap companies elevated on June 7. The publisher Daily Mail and General Trust, which has been in the top division for seven years, is facing the chop, as are Ladbrokes (after its special dividend), Cable & Wireless and Tate & Lyle. New entrants may include Vedanta and Lonmin, the miners, Drax, the power station group, and Icap, the moneybroking group..." Keep up with the quarterly promotion/relegation issues at | m.t.glass

22/3/2006 16:02 | Me too. Saw a snippet in the Telegraph this morning that the reason for the current rise was because the sale of the Northcliffe papers may still be on. Not as much as the £1.5b hoped for, but more around £1.4b | call-logger
22/3/2006 14:22 | Nice break through, if it stays above 700p over coming week should be positive for the next target. Surprised not many following this one! | john hampton

20/3/2006 14:18 | Another try to break through 700p to upside, make a take a few more attempts but, if it does should be up to 720p+ | john hampton

11/3/2006 09:15 | Still time to get on board. This one is unlikely to fall back to the levels some of you needed, in my opinion. They have announced cost savings in the Northcliffe division, which is partly why the shares have bounced. Also, as I indicated earlier, they are oversold and due a bounce. 700p seems reasonable. Another reason is they remained in the FTSE 100, and were not relegated. Hope this helps... | selftaught
