26/8/2015 08:05 | 26 August 2015 Daily Internet plc ("Daily Internet" or "the Company" or "the Group") Netplan announces strategic partnership with Epicor Software (UK) Limited Daily Internet (AIM: DAIP), the managed hosting and cloud integrator, is pleased to announce that Netplan Internet Solutions Limited ('Netplan'), its wholly owned subsidiary, has entered into a strategic partnership with Epicor Software (UK) Limited ('Epicor'). Epicor is a global leader in business software solutions and the developer of Epicor® BisTrack™. Under the terms of the partnership agreement, Netplan has been appointed Cloud partner for BisTrack (software designed to optimise business operations), in the UK and Ireland. Contract wins announced previously by the Company in this sector have been delivering Epicor BisTrack enterprise resource planning (ERP) software in a Platform as a Service ('PaaS') model. The Board has previously commented that the pipeline in this sector was building at pace. To go one stage further the Directors believe that a direct partnership with Epicor will further accelerate pipeline growth by widening the scope of opportunity. Epicor has recognised the skills and experience of the Netplan team in delivering its application in a PaaS model. Likewise, Netplan has completed and supported a number of BisTrack deployments in the Cloud and in the opinion of the Directors, BisTrack is the sector leading ERP product. Based on the success of both parties in penetrating this sector with their respective software and PaaS service, the parties have recognised that entering into a formal partnership agreement is a win-win for all stakeholders. The joint-partnership should be an enabler to attract new BisTrack customers as well as provide existing BisTrack customers with increased comfort and confidence in making the move to leverage the benefits of PaaS and other Cloud technologies. This partnership extends joint sales and marketing activity to new and existing customers. Activities have already begun and a joint pipeline is developing. Steve Winder, Regional Vice-President, Epicor, UK & Ireland, commented: "We are delighted to be partnering with Netplan. There is great synergy between the two companies and from today Netplan will be our partner for the provision of Cloud Hosting and Managed Services in the UK and Ireland for Epicor BisTrack. In turn we see this resulting in both parties increasing their respective market share in this ERP sector." Arthur Duffy, Managing Director, Netplan, commented: "I am confident that this partnership will remove the fragmentation that frequently occurs between software provider and service provider. Our previous experience in ERP coupled with this partnership will ensure that the customer benefits from a performance, reliability and scalability perspective." Chris Evans, Chief Executive, Daily Internet Plc, commented: "We believe this partnership validates Netplan's decision to approach the market by verticals where knowledge of your client's industry is key to delivering the most beneficial Cloud solution. Partnering with key software vendors is an important element to this strategy as we believe it benefits us as a service provider, the software provider and undoubtedly the end customer alike." | liquid millionaire | |
