How to realistically value this given what is alluded to on growth - subtantial and hard to forecast - and the drag of the convertibles??

deadly quiet before the meeting.

good luck to us all, soon to discover the strategic review findings/outcome or just kick decisions down the line.

any rumours on the outcome of the strategic review?
normally the market gets to the price before punters find out and it's not looking like achieving >100p if that's correct.

price until close fri this week will probably be indicative.

it was good news, just have to wait to see outcome and how they can square the circle on the notes etc.

the news could perhaps have been delayed post meeting.

would the release date be to do with letting some parties know prior to meeting date?

they can't selectively disclose.

I'm becoming more suspicious as each day passes until the situation is clarified.

Very positive RNS this morning although not flagged on ADVFN at the moment. Like the look of those tests and the fact that they are in vitro but I suppose we are on hold for the moment pending the EGM on 9th May.

Are you going along buywell or indeed anyone else?

Evening husbod - I was thinking aloud on that one tbh.I certainly hope not anyway - just seems that the larger holders are taking positions..why exactly I do not know.

P1nkfish - same here but unlike many, it would seem, I am actually getting shares in lieu of the interest _ I must have opted for this when I took up my allocation as interest (like dividends) is not attractive to me. In order to surrender my holding I would want the share equivalent of my cash (with a reasonable number of bonus shares as an inducement) plus some further shares to compensate for the shares lost by missing out on the next three annual payments.

Can't agree with you red about the company being set up to go private. Just don't see the point. And "restructuring" doesn't imply putting us up for sale. Why would we want to do that unless we had no faith in our product - ie we thought we might be peaking. No particular sign of that so far as I can see.

Anyone going to the meeting?

The coming GM was a mandatory requirement so the company had to undertake it

If an offer for the company comes along it won't hurt the share price and would go to show the investment community that Cyprotex is a sought after undervalued asset

For now continued growth in turnover is what most sensible long term holders want to see I would have thought

I hold some notes.

The lost yield to redemption would need to be compensated for but for the sake of the business I would agree to something along the bahiflyer idea.

It might also add a good name or 3 to the share register and help CRX mature under existing management whom I rate as very capable.

My concern is to maintain a team that has more to offer the company and shareholders and see this reach its full potential.

Let's hope Harwood act in everyones interest.

That's certainly the way forward imv and would leave us a more attractive prospect to any interested parties.

The purpose of the Strategic Review is to examine all options and for me the ideal one would be a resolution to bring forward the conversion of CLN's, if approved by share holders.

That would remove nearly £10M of the quoted £17M debt and just leave £7M owing on the redeemables and even that would actually be much less as current share price isn't 122p, which it was at that level.

Harwood would have to agree and offload some as their percentage of CLN's as it takes them to 36.8% but I wouldn't be surprised if that was part of the dialogue they already had.
Im sure there would be funds/instis that would gladly take a holding in CRX which is currently nigh on impossible with the small number of shares in issue and being so tightly held.

That would leave us with approx 30M shares in issue and at 2015 4th qtr operation rates, forward earnings of possibly £5M+, redeemable debt at share price of £1 would be near to £6M and weve probably got that covered with cash at bank by now.

Job done lets move forward....independantly. What do any note holders here think?

Uncertainty and disruption are usually unwelcome & especially if you feel like a chess piece on someonelses board.

Pinkfish I am just relaying some comments..fwiw I did this before they said they were busier than ever which was subsequently followed by better than expected results. I have no axe to grind with them, decent CRO and they pay their bills on time.

I guess if you work in the lab then you don't worry about financials, but you do a bit if the company is up for sale. Just a couple of personal comments from the guys I spoke with. Didn't get the feeling that either of hem were looking to leave but it was probably something they could have done without.

Would agree there, totally.
There must be some regrets in some quarters as to the financing model chosen given the current business level and prospects.

Haven't been on here for a little while, nice to see its such a friendly board! As I've posted previously on here CRX need to be able to access some in vivo testing capability to provide a more integrated offer to their clients. Aside from that they also need to exit from the shackles that their financing model has brought. I'm sure some will have made a tidy profit from the 2-3p old money days but bigger rewards will only come if they leverage the uniqueness of their current offer.

My money would be on £1 give or take a bit but I don't think this will satisfy all elements of the stakeholders. Hey-ho, small fry never matter in these matters.

As for uncertainty, you don't have to look back far to find much greater uncertainty hanging over CRX. Now they have a growing, profitable business with services in demand. That's more certainty than may at the moment and more than CRX have had in the past.

Buywell, You actually haven't got a clue what you are talking about have you?

It's obvious to anyone that works in the industry what the difference is between the services that cyprotex offer and what is the future of personalised medicine ( and the timescales that this may take). I would point these out, but given your delusions of adequacy it's not worth my time. FWIW crx are a customer of ours and I paid their guys in the clinical chemstry a visut this week....not going to slate them as a company but no- one likes uncertainty.

If they get a deal I doubt it would be at any significant premium. After they said they want to sell its a buyers market.

buywell - you are showing everyone your true colours and it does not paint a pretty picture.

You are probably no I would say definitely struggling to accept that not only do I still hold shares in crx but that I did in fact clear my mortgage pre Christmas with a partial sale of crx.

That will irk you but I must confess I sincerely hope it does:-)

Have a nice day buywell and remember the kindness you show to others will always come back to you.

Btw I have not lost a penny on pxs as I still hold all of my shares:-)

Bye for now!
